LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The groundwork for the impending catastrophe that is about to shake the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros is laid in the finale of 'House of the Dragon' Season 2.

The prequel to 'Game of Thrones' is based on George RR Martin's novel 'Fire & Blood'.

Throughout most of Season 2, we've seen Daemon Targaryen (Matt Smith) in Harrenhal, where he has been advancing his interests rather than supporting Rhaenyra Targaryen's (Emma D'Arcy) claim to the Iron Throne.

However, during his time there, he began to experience visions that added a new dimension to Daemon’s character.

In a surprising twist, Daemon experiences visions of the future in the Season 2 finale, thanks to Alys Rivers (Gayle Rankin) and the weirwood tree.

These visions include Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke), a White Walker, and the man who becomes the Three-Eyed Raven, suggesting a strong connection to 'Game of Thrones' even though the events are set over a century earlier.

What theory does Daemon's vision confirm about Daenerys Targaryen in 'House of the Dragon' Season 2 Finale?

If you are a fan of 'Game of Thrones,' you're likely familiar with the prophecy of the 'Prince That Was Promised,' which foretells a prophesied hero destined to defeat the White Walkers.

The identity of this prophesied Prince has been a topic of much debate, with Jon Snow (Kit Harington) and Daenerys being the leading candidates. However, Daemon's vision reveals that Daenerys is indeed the foretold savior.

Although Daenerys never sat on the Iron Throne, her act of entering Khal Drogo's funeral pyre resurrected the dragons and sparked the fight against the army of the dead.

Additionally, the High Valyrian term for 'prince' is gender-neutral, so it could refer to either a prince or a princess.

Rhaenyra believes the savior will be from her lineage, and Daemon's vision suggests her support is key to the arrival of this savior, pointing to Daenerys as the 'Prince That Was Promised.

How this new revelation will impact Daemon Targaryen?

After seeing the vision, Daemon finally believed the prophecy his brother, King Viserys I Targaryen (Paddy Considine), often spoke of, leading him to fully support Rhaenyra.

Understanding the importance of his heritage, Daemon might become more strategic in forming alliances and making decisions to protect and advance his family's legacy, potentially leading to new partnerships or a reassessment of existing ones.

The weight of the prophecy may compel Daemon to make personal sacrifices for the greater good, setting aside his ambitions or interests to ensure its fulfillment.
