Jake Johnson is back to the screen in an all-new yet recognizable avatar in Netflix's latest animated sitcom 'Hoops'. Playing the role of an impetuous basketball coach in a high school, Johnson is gearing up to take on the role of Coach Ben Hopkins.

Plot
According to the official synopsis of the latest animated comedy sitcom from Netflix, the show "centres on a hot-headed, foul-mouthed high school basketball coach (Jake Johnson) who thinks turning around his god awful team will take him to the 'big leagues' and turn his miserable life around."

Jake Johnson as Coach Ben Hopkins
Johnson is perhaps best known for his performance of Nick Miller in Fox's 'New Girl', a role for which he was nominated for the Critics' Choice Television Award for Best Actor in a Comedy Series in 2013. The actor is also known for his work on 'Drinking Buddies', '21 Jump Street', 'The Mummy' and 'Tag'. He currently plays the role of Greyson McConnell aka Grey on 'Stumptown'.
Rob Riggle as Barry Hopkins
Rob is best known for his work on 'The Daily Show' and 'Saturday Night Live'. He is also known for his performances in 'The Hangover', '21 Jump Street', '22 Jump Street', 'The Goods: Live Hard', 'Step Brothers'.
Natasha Leggero as Shannon
Leggero is best known as the host of 'MTV's The 70s House' and for voicing the character Callie Maggotbone on 'Ugly Americans'. She is also known for her performances on 'The Tonight Show with Jay Leno', 'The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson', 'Last Call with Carson Daly' and 'The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon'.
Ron Funches as Ron
The comedian, actor, voice actor and writer is best known for his work on 'Mulaney' and 'Kroll Show', and lending his voice on 'BoJack Horseman', 'The Adventures of Puss in Boots' and 'Adventure Time'.
Creators
'Hoops' is created by Ben Hoffman, who is known for creating and hosting 'The Ben Show'. His association with Comedy Central also includes 'Sports Show with Norm Macdonald' and appearing on 'Drunk History'. He is also known for his appearance on 'New Girl'.
Under his stage name Wheeler Walker Jr, he has released three albums of country music noted for their 'comedic tone and offensive, off-color lyrical topics'.
Hoffman, Johnson and Phil Lord, Christopher Miller and Seth Cohen serve as executive producers for the show.
