Spoiler alert for 'Holiday Date'

'Holiday Date' just premiered on Hallmark and the feel-good movie will instantly have you hooked from the very start. The movie has a colorful and vibrant appeal which will give you all the festive vibes that you need this holiday season.

The movie is centered around the lives of Brooke and Joel who happen to meet very randomly on the streets of NYC. Brooke is a fashion designer and Joel is a struggling actor trying to find his big break.

Brooke's boyfriend Ethan, who is apparently the "Mr. Christmas" guy, breaks up with her just before Christmas. He makes this douchebag move because he cannot handle meeting her parents and justifies himself by saying things are moving too fast, and he's not ready for that kind of commitment.

Now that Brooke's family is eager to meet Ethan, she is in a fix since they don't know anything about the break-up. As their relationship fizzles out just before Christmas, a heartbroken Brooke strategizes a ploy with Joel to pacify the family that all is well in paradise.

Brooke is a struggling fashion designer trying to make a mark at the boutique she's working in. She is talented and flawless at her work, which unfortunately isn't helping her gain acceptance and recognition from her boss.

She has an eye for details and knows how to bring out the best in others. Joel, on the other hand, is a happy-go-lucky guy who is perpetually smiling and optimistic about life and opportunities. Being a method actor, he decides to help Brooke by pretending to be Ethan for her family.

As the duo tries to pull off an act just to protect Brooke's secret, things get super awkward because Joel knows nothing about Ethan. Since the family is aware that Ethan is an architect by profession, Joel has to put himself in his shoes and pretend to be aware of the know-how of architecture.

Joel struggles to fit into Ethan's character but ends up being the perfect version of him that Brooke always wanted.

Things get complicated when Brooke finds out that Joel is Jewish and knows very little about Christmas. But the silver lining to all this is that he's got Christmas on his mind and wants a taste of a picture-perfect Christmas.

The movie only escalates as it goes on to portray both Christmas and Hanukkah, which explores a beautiful blend of cultures that makes room for diversity. Brooke's family is also supportive of celebrating the two holidays and keeping traditions alive.

Chaos ensues when Brook and Joel's ruse gets exposed and now that the cat is out of the bag, the duo is in a very tight spot. Since every Christmas complication paves a new way to resolve the problem, how will Joel and Brooke come out clean in front of the whole family? That's for you to watch and find out!

Catch the premiere of 'Holiday Date' on Hallmark Channel on December 14 at 8 pm / 7 c.
