Hilary Duff posts first photo from her low-key wedding to Matthew Koma and fans cannot keep calm
Hilary Duff exchanged vows with Matthew Koma, her partner of three years, in an intimate backyard wedding on Saturday night, December 21. The 32-year-old 'Lizzie McGuire' star shared a sensational portrait with her husband from the beautiful candlelit ceremony.
Standing beside a car written with the words 'Just Married', the two pose for a "made-for-each-other" moment in the picture that has been captioned, "This." The 'Clarity' singer also posted the same image on his Instagram account and wrote, “For the rest of forever… 12.21.19.”
While Duff is dressed in a mesmerizing white ballgown in the image, Koma looks dapper in a deep blue suit. No sooner did Hilary post the picture, she was bombarded with congratulatory messages. "Amaaaazzzzing! And WOW! Just WOW! Love you guys! And your Love!!!" one comment read and another said, "Yay for love! You look breathtaking."
Hairstylist Riawna Capri said, "Honored to have been a witness of such an absolutely wonderful perfect incredible evening. You are everything, he is everything. Y’all are GOALS. Goals for life. Love you forever, the rest of forever."
Reportedly, the marriage ceremony was held seven months after the musician proposed her with a gorgeous, four-carat diamond. Duff, earlier, raved about it in a May Instagram post, "He asked me to be his wife."
Not many details from the ceremony have been revealed but an insider told People, "The wedding was at her house. It was small and low-key. Only family and close friends...The ceremony started at sunset and they got married inside the house. When the ceremony was over, guests cheered. The reception was in a white tent in the backyard. Her sister Haylie was very involved in the wedding prep too. Hilary and Haylie are very close."
Dawes musician Taylor Goldsmith attended the wedding with wife Mandy Moore, who posted a few images of the newlyweds on her Instagram Story. According to reports, there was a band performance by Goldsmith, and he performed 'A Little Bit of Everything' on his guitar.
Dating on-and-off since 2017, the couple announced in June 2018 that they were expecting their first child and their daughter Banks was born four months later.
