Disney+'s 'High School Musical: The Musical: The Series' is halfway into Season 1 and you're not going to want to miss out on Episode 5 as we see a new side to most of the characters.

Last week, we saw a lot of things unravel in Nini (Olivia Rodrigo) and EJ's (Matt Cornett) relationship after he reveals that Nini got the main part in the play because he got the lead to be sick. We also got to know that Ricky's (Joshua Bassett) parents are getting a divorce and he doesn't know how to accept the fact that his mom will no longer be living with them. Gina (Sofia Wylie), on the other hand, was up to her usual plotting and scheming against Nini so that she would be able to get the lead role in the musical.

This week, we got to see a new vulnerable side to Gina that we never thought we would. However, the highlight of this week's episode is Carlos and Seb and their budding romance. We knew this was coming right when Carlos taught Seb to dance and asked him out to the homecoming.

Meanwhile, Nini and Kourtney get ready for a girls' night with Miss Jenn tagging along. They head over to a karaoke place where Miss Jenn claimed she would help Nini be confident. As it turns out, Ricky's dad happens to be in the same place and sparks fly between them.

Kourtney helps Nini come out of her shell and makes her feel more comfortable. These two are definitely best friend goals, always there for each other.

Ricky goes to the homecoming with his best friend only to shun Gina for a date with EJ. This is where we get to see the vulnerable side of Gina.

EJ keeps pressing her about the plan to sabotage Nini's part in the musical so he can win her back and get the lead as Troy. But Gina walks away only to meet Ricky midway before she could leave. He offers her a ride back home and we see the two bond over their similarities which would make one wonder if there is going to be a budding romance between the two. We won't know until the series returns next week.

Gina opens up about her life to Ricky and we see a soft side of her that we've never seen. We get to know that she has been to five schools in seven years which explains her fear of not fitting in and wanting to prove herself.

Miss Jenn, on the other hand, after what was quite an eventful evening, gets a message from the school principal which has trouble written all over it.

The standout event of the episode is Carlos becoming confident about himself instead of sulking about Seb's absence during the homecoming dance.

He puts his best foot forward on the dance floor and shines. Right after he's done, Seb enters the dance floor only to be stunned by Carlos and mesmerized.

The duo then share what can only be described as the most beautiful dance ever.

Taking to Twitter after the episode, fans couldn't help but rave about Seb and Carlos.

"Sebastian & Carlos. Yes, love that! #HSMTMTS," a fan wrote. Another said, "THE WAY SEB SMILED AT CARLOS WHEN HE SAW HIM DANCING. HEART EYES PEOPLE."

"SEB AND CARLOS BETTER END UP TOGETHER OR IM LOSING MY SHIT #HSMTMTS," shared yet another fan.

'High School Musical: The Musical: The Series' airs every Friday only on Disney+.
