'He’s gonna pay': Gwen Stefani slams husband Blake Shelton after he 'steals' her contestant on 'The Voice'
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Blake Shelton and wife Gwen Stefani found themselves at odds in the latest episode of 'The Voice' on October 17. The couple has been married for less than 18 months and found themselves in a heated argument on-air.
The argument erupted over Jay Allen, a participant on 'The Voice' on Stefani's team. Before the "Hollaback Girl" singer utilized her "save" option to keep the artist in the competition, he was on the verge of being eliminated.

Shelton, her husband, then made the decision to use the "steal" feature to give Jay the option of siding with him instead. He questioned, "What if somebody steals Jay?" before ominously pressing the button.
Blake was shaken by the shoulders as Gwen leaped out of her chair and screamed, "No! No! No! What an idiot!" John Legend, a fellow judge, observed that there was "trouble in paradise." "Jay Allen may cause a celebrity divorce," host Carson Daly remarked. He questioned Gwen, referring to Blake's "steal", "Are you upset with him?" "Yes, I'm shaking. I'm so mad!" she yelled back.
Blake explained his choice in a confessional, saying, “It’s very rare to go against your wife in a competition, but I am the country guy on this show. The good news is I got Jay, the bad news is we may have to go through some marriage counseling,” he joked.
Gwen warned, “My actual husband stabbed me in the back. He’s gonna pay for that later.”
Ironically, the same day she had posted a heartfelt Instagram tribute to her husband. She posted a picture of them kissing while displaying her enormous diamond ring. Their engagement anniversary was two years ago on October 17. Gwen and Blake got married at a chaple on his Oklahoma property on July 3, 2021.
On October 11, NBC revelealed in a statement that Blake Shelton will be leaving 'The Voice'. Shelton has been a judge on the show since its inception in 2011. In the 12 years, he has won it eight times and has also taught 15 musicians whose songs have peaked at No 1 on the iTunes Top Songs chart.
“I’ve been wrestling with this for a while and I’ve decided that it’s time for me to step away from ‘The Voice,’” Shelton said in a statement via the network. “This show has changed my life in every way for the better and it will always feel like home to me.”
Shelton praised the "lifelong bonds" he has with host Carson Daly and "every single one of my fellow coaches over the years," as well as his wife Gwen Stefani, whom he met on the programme.
