'Hero' Elon Musk provides internet to Ukraine within 10 hrs: 'Doing more than Joe Biden'
SpaceX founder Elon Musk is being hailed as a "hero" for his quick and incredible response to Ukraine's plea for internet access. As Russian missile strikes caused an internet shutdown in many regions of the country, Ukraine's Vice Prime Minister Mykhailo Fedorov sought help from Elon Musk. In a February 26 tweet addressed to Musk, Fedorov wrote, "@elonmusk, while you try to colonize Mars — Russia try to occupy Ukraine! While your rockets successfully land from space — Russian rockets attack Ukrainian civil people! We ask you to provide Ukraine with Starlink stations and to address sane Russians to stand."
Much to everyone's surprise, Musk responded within a few hours as he noted, "Starlink service is now active in Ukraine. More terminals en route." His prompt action was widely appreciated across the world and by the top leadership in Ukraine as well. Netizens dubbed Elon Musk a "hero", as they noted now high-speed Starlink connectivity will help Ukraine combat Russian propaganda by sharing footage of their atrocities with the world.

Starlink happens to be a satellite-based connectivity system designed by SpaceX to bring internet across underserved areas of the world. Musk recently enabled Starlink in Tonga following a massive earthquake and tsunami that rocked the island nation.
Since it is powered by satellites, Starlink will provide high-speed internet to Ukraine, which would be very difficult for Russia to destroy without accessing foreign servers.
"A hero is someone who steps up when everyone else backs down," a Twitter user said hailing the Tesla mogul. Another user compared Musk to Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg in terms of their contribution to Ukraine at this time of crisis. "Mark Zuckerberg: I made a new Instagram filter so you can show your support for Ukraine Elon Musk: I gave Ukraine impenetrable internet access instantly, for free," the user noted.
A third user elaborated, "The people of Ukraine now have access to the fastest, most robust satellite internet system ever created. This makes it impossible for Russia to disable the Ukrainian internet access fully without cyber attacking foreign data centers~ Elon Musk...Russia..Putin."
"I took a screen shot of this so my children's children will see how history unfolded," another lauded.

Many compared Elon Musk's deed to the Biden administration's diplomatic blunders in helping out Ukraine. "Elon Musk has done more to help Ukraine in one day than the entire Biden administration," one user remarked, while another tweeted, "Elon Musk and Anonymous are keeping Russia from shutting down Ukraine's comms and are interfering with Russian cyberattacks - doing what the Biden WH won't."
