Rapper Lil Tjay was reportedly shot several times on Wednesday, June 22, in Edgewater, New Jersey, leaving his fans worried. The 21-year-old was soon rushed to a hospital where he underwent emergency surgery. But things went south when a tweet claimed that Lil Tjay, whose real name is Tione Jayden Merritt, “will be paralyzed for the rest of his life”.

The tweet was shared by someone named @ilove69andtjay, who said: “JUST IN: The Doctor Raheem Smith said Lil Tjay will be paralyzed for the rest of his life.
