Meghan and Harry are behaving like defiant teenagers, says biographer: 'Harry has turned sour and callous'
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are behaving like 'spoilt defiant teenagers', revealed Harry's biographer Angela Levin.
Levin has called out Harry and Meghan and said that she 'barely recognizes' the prince anymore. "Their choice of priorities smacks more of spoilt defiant teenagers than adults in their mid and late thirties," she shared.
"I see a Harry who has turned sour, callous even and is obviously stressed. Although I barely recognize him I still believe that internally he is tearing himself into shreds about leaving his family, his country and his military connections," Tatler reports.
Levin further added how she had believed that Harry and Meghan who stepped down as senior royals on March 31 would be 'gracious and dignified' in doing so.
She says that instead, the pair announced that they have quit Commonwealth country Canada and chosen to live in the celebrity hotspot of Los Angeles, California, in the US.
Meghan recently made her Disney debut as a narrator for a documentary on elephants. In her first post-royal job, Meghan has done the voiceover for the Disney production after a direct request was made from the filmmakers.
Levin also recalled how she had spent a year in 2017 accompanying Harry on his royal engagements to write his biography. At the time, the newly engaged Harry was "charismatic, intuitive and quick-witted but also restless and troubled," she shared.
She remembered how Harry had assured her that the former 'Suits' actress, Meghan, well understood what exactly she was marrying into. "It is profoundly sad but true that with each week that passes, Harry and Meghan’s behavior is becoming increasingly self-centered," Levin believes.
The couple recently took to their Instagram handle to share their final royal post as they embark on post-royal life after quitting the family. In the post, the couple had shared, "Thank you to this community — for the support, the inspiration and the shared commitment to the good in the world" and signed off as 'Harry & Meghan'.
After a long discussion with the Queen, Harry's grandmother, the couple agreed that they would no longer use their HRH titles which will be removed from all their social media handles.
We had previously reported that POTUS Donald Trump had announced that the US would not be footing Harry and Meghan's security bill. Harry will no longer fall under the 'international protected person' category when he officially steps down as a senior member of the royal family next week on March 31, a royal source shared.
Harry, Meghan, and their 10-month-old son Archie made a move from Canada to the US to embark on their new life in LA sometime last week. UK and US have had a longtime reciprocal agreement with regards to bodyguards protecting diplomats and members of the royal family.
Trump's secret service agents would be allowed to carry their own weapons on his state visit and the Queen and Prince Charles' bodyguards would be able to do the same on official trips to America. Harry's exit from the royal family means that he will no longer fall under the purview of the same rules.
