Gwyneth Paltrow poses for rare photo with lookalike daughter Apple and mother Blythe Danner as she turns 47
Gwyneth Paltrow turned 47 on Friday, September 27, and her fans were given the gift of a rare photo of Paltrow with her mother, Blythe Danner, and her daughter, Apple.
The photo of the family trio was posted on Paltrow's friend, Derek Blasberg's Instagram, as he wished her for her birthday.
Paltrow's mother, Blythe Danner, is also an actress, having appeared in the 2000s 'Meet the Parents', 'Meet the Fockers', and 'Little Fockers'.
Danner was married to Paltrow's father who was a producer and director, Bruce Paltrow. The Paltrow patriarch passed away in 2002 from oral cancer.
In journalist and fashion mogul Derek Blasberg's post, he wrote, "Today is the middle one's birthday, but let’s celebrate the entire Danner-Paltrow-Martin bloodline."
"Here are three kind, talented, sweet, lithe (rhymes with Blythe!), wonderful women. The apple doesn't fall from the tree — and neither does Apple. Wishing you the absolute bestest year ever", he added.
Paltrow shares 15-year-old Apple and 13-year-old Moses with Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, to whom she was married from 2003 to 2016 when the couple sparked a social media trend over their decision to "consciously uncouple".
Paltrow rarely posts about her daughter, Apple, on social media with the last photo being posted by her to give her daughter birthday wishes in May this year as Paltrow and Martin prefer to keep their children out of the limelight.
Director and producer Brad Falchuk, whom Paltrow married last year, also posted on the actor's 47th birthday. Falchuk wrote, "I’m just going to say it — she's the greatest human being ever."
"She's not perfect — her sense of humor can be a little on the dirty side, she gets very angry at other drivers, isn't that cheery before her first cup of coffee, considers dehydration to be a character flaw and improperly seasoned food hurts her feelings," he shared.
He continued, "Even with all of these imperfections, her gifts elevate her — blue eyes that see the best in the people she loves and a tireless drive to make sure they see it too."
"Soft, hard-working hands that she uses to make the most delicious pancakes and make you feel at home with the slightest touch. Extreme curiosity and even more extreme bravery to share that curiosity and the places it takes her with the world," he added.
Falchuk also praised Paltrow as a mother, writing, "She’s a relentless mother and stepmother, the BEST wife, all of her friends know she's their champion and no one wears clothes as well as she does."
"She’s endlessly fascinating, succeeds at everything she does and drinks whiskey and eats fried food yet still manages to look like that. Happy birthday, Love. I know I'm not the only person to say, thank God you were born. I love you," he sums up.
