It's never been a more perfect year to save lives and 2020 has been enough proof. Your favorite doctors are returning and this time, they'll be handling the coronavirus pandemic. That's right, 'Grey's Anatomy' is back in November this year and the first episode will premiere on November 12. On a scale of 1-10, how excited are you, Grey's fans?

Giacomo Gianniotti, who plays Andrew DeLuca on the show, has said that the new episodes will dive into the pandemic. "We’re going to start the season about a month and a half [into] full COVID. It’s going to take place a little beyond where we left off in the last season … We’re not picking up right where we left off," he told Entertainment Tonight. While it's going to be a Covid-19 centric-season, several plot points will have to be addressed. Going by the teaser, Owen (Kevin McKidd) and Teddy (Kim Raver)  will need to make a decision about their relationship and it could just be the end for them. If we remember correctly, Owen finally found out about Teddy's infidelity and stood her up at their wedding. Meanwhile, DeLuca and Meredith Grey's (Ellen Pompeo) relationship is hanging by a thread too. Richard Burke's operation was successful and he remembered the painful issues between him and Catherine Fox, following which, he threw her out of his hospital room.

At present, the only sorted couple seems to be Amelia and Link (Chris Carmack), and they just had a baby. So we can expect a whole lot of drama, angst and stress in the upcoming season. Will Jo get the happiness she deserves, considering Alex just walked out on her? (We're never getting over that).

As far as we know, all the lead characters are set to return for Season 17.  Andrew DeLuca (Giacomo Gianniotti), Richard Webber (James Pickens Jr.), Dr. Jackson Avery (Jesse Williams), Dr. Maggie Pierce (Kelly McCreary), Dr. Miranda Bailey (Chandra Wilson), Dr. Jo Karev (Camilla Luddington), Dr. Teddy Altman (Kim Raver), Dr. Owen Hunt (Kevin McKidd), and Dr Amelia Shepherd (Caterina Scorsone). However, this just might be the last season we get to see Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo) herself, as she has given a few tantalizing hints here and there. And there's no 'Grey's Anatomy' without Grey herself, is there?

Tune into 'Grey's Anatomy' on November 12, ABC, at 9 pm this year.
