As a part of the 'Annual Deadly Resolutions', Lifetime is premiering 'Grand Theft Auto Girls', a thriller movie that revolves around two high school girls — Emily and Max, who heist cars for some good old fun. 'Grand Theft Auto Girls' is premiering on January 30 on Lifetime.

Plot

Emily (Zoë Belkin) is a highly talented mechanic, who lost her father in a car crash and is determined to remodel his old car. However, the teenager also uses her skills to steal cars along with her friend Max (Samantha Helt) only to achieve some cheap thrills and extra bucks. However, they get forcefully involved in a carjacking ring when their industrial art teacher learns about their late-night shenanigans. 

The official synopsis for 'Grand Theft Auto Girls' reads: "A widowed mother must help her teenage daughter escape a life of crime after she becomes embroiled in a dangerous scheme to steal luxury cars for her high school teacher."

Zoë Belkin is a Candian actress known for her roles in television series such as 'The Latest Buzz', 'Rookie Blue' and 'Breakout Kings'. In 'Grand Theft Auto Girls' she essays the lead role as Emily.

Tanya Clarke plays Emily’s mother Gail in 'Grand Theft Auto Girls'. She is a veteran television actress who has worked in major shows such as 'American Horror Story', 'Banshee' and 'Inhumans'.

Creators

Jason Bourque has helmed Paul A Birkett’s script in 'Grand Theft Auto Girls'. The international filmmaker has written and directed a variety of work in his career which spans over a decade. 

Some of his best theatrical features include 'Balck Fly' and 'Drone', while 'Medinah', 'Godfrey’ and ‘When Time Got Louder’ await their release.

The two-minute-long trailer gives glimpses of Emily’s expertise in hotwiring, as she and Max conveniently break into any car and zoom off, while the cops wrack their brains about luxury cars being stolen back-to-back within the radius of a few miles.
