Rapper Lil Nas X recently admitted to how hard it is to sustain a relationship saying that it's challenging to find someone because he's been "busy".

"I have met a lot of great people this year. Relationships are hard because either I end up being too busy or I end up falling for another person. I fall super-easily," he said. The rapper, at 20 years of age, has six nominations in the upcoming 2020 Grammy Awards.

In July 2019, the rapper came out without letting his team know — his managers or his record label — but he did make a call to his father with whom his relationship has been budding.

"We have become closer. I mean, especially now because I don't have anything to hide. It was a shock for him. It's still the beginning phase. I'm not comfortable bringing a guy around yet," disclosed Lil Nas.

Sharing about his estranged relationship with his mother, the rapper said, "I never really talk about my mom. She's an addict so we don't have the closest relationship."

He continued, "Even trying to get her better — things didn't quite work out. But there's still love. The biggest surprise of becoming globally famous? On the outside, everybody loves you — but on the inside, everything feels the same."

Following the deaths of music icons like Nipsey Hussle, XXXTentacion and Juice Wrld, Lil Nas admitted to "smoking weed heavily" to self-medicate.

The 33-year-old Hussle was shot in March in Los Angeles, XXXTentacion passed away in a Floriday shooting in 2018 and Juice Wrld lost his life at the age of 21 after suffering a seizure at a Chicago airport.

He shared, "So much happened during my rise. You know, drugs and murders. And my grandmother passing [in 2018] — she was the first person close to me who died. It was devastating."

"And it made me a hypochondriac: I'd wake up, heart racing. It was scary. I started smoking weed heavily. But then I started feeling more connected with the universe, and taking everything as a sign," Lil Nas revealed to Variety.

When asked about his GLAAD Award nomination for outstanding music artiste, Lil Nas said, "I hope my actions are enough to inspire other young LGBTQ children coming up to not be afraid to be themselves, but I feel pressure to be a role model for the community."
