Is GOT7’s Kim Yugyeom releasing a single? Fan theories erupt after he deletes hundreds of photos from Instagram

With nearly all his Instagram posts deleted, is GOT7's Kim Yugyeom rebranding himself or is there a new single in the works? Fans have so many questions!

When GOT7 announced that they'll no longer be renewing their label contract with JYP Entertainment after seven years of working under the label, stans were notably worried about what that meant for the K-Pop group's future. By the looks of it, JB, Mark, Jackson, Jinyoung, Youngjae, Yugyeom and BamBam were ready to start new projects, but the biggest question remained, would they be doing so as GOT7 or flying solo?

While fans waited with bated breath for news of any sort, it looks like there might just be something coming their way soon enough seeing that Kim Yugyeom, the group's youngest member, currently has the whole fan base in a frenzy.

Fans were quick to notice that Yugyeom deleted a large chunk of his social media posts on Instagram, bringing his post count down from 400+ to 21. While that seemed odd enough, what left them with even more questions was when AOMG, the Hip-Hop and R&B record label founded by artiste Jay Park, uploaded a video, teasing the launch of a new artiste.

Fans were quick to put two and two together and began to question the timing of it all — had Yugyeom signed with AOMG or is his dropping his own single?

While there is no official news of the same, fans seem be convinced that this might just be the case and have taken to Twitter to discuss what they all think is Yugyeom's next move. 

"Lee hi did the same i think before so that her teaser for holo will be her 1st in her feed SOOO I GUESSS YUGYEOM'S SINGLE IS COMING REALLL SOOONNNNN #GOT7 #갓세븐 @GOT7Official " tweeted a fan. "yugyeom down to 21 posts on ig means 21 divided by 7 is 3 and that means march so we’re getting KIM YUGYEOM SOLO ALBUM ON MARCH wow i’m so good at this  #KYG1 #GOT7 @GOT7Official" added another.

"seems like yugyeom is rebranding his image now. be ready everyone, he probably gonna leave this #igot7 hashtag on his caption but that means finally we’ll get creative caption from now and not only hashtag with bird emoji" said a user, decoding the situation and throwing some shade, every so slightly. 

Other suspected that it was Yugyeom in the AOMG teaser. "Isn’t this Yugyeom or are my eyes playing tricks on me???? #GOT7 @GOT7Official," tweeted a fan. "#Yugyeom @real_Kimyugyeom #GOT7 @GOT7Official AOMG Artists are uploading it in their IG stories too " said another, pointing out that the hype was real.

"AOMG doesn’t announce existing artists with 'who’s coming next' teasers it’s only for new artists also Jay park and other artists posting it on their stories going 'who’s next??' also hints it’s gonna be a new artist If it isn’t Yugyeom it def is another new artist im sure" tweeted another, hinting that something was definitely up. 

So, is Yugyeom finally ready to branch out on his own? Or is this just rebranding? Either way, we can't wait to see what he has in store.
