Callie is ever ready to fight tooth and nail for justice if she has to. Throughout the two seasons of ‘Good Trouble’, we’ve seen Callie’s loyalty towards her job remain unhindered. In the previous episode, we also saw her stand up for Malika, risking her relationship with Wilson, only because the cause her friend supported was close to her heart.

In episode 12 of ‘Good Trouble’ Season 2B, Callie is torn between her personal interests and professional integrity as she tries helping Judge Wilson achieve better clarity on his son’s death midst a busy week at work.

Wilson sets Callie up to meet one of Tate’s friends, to find out who got his son those fetal pills. However, in order to pursue the truth, Callie needs to compromise on her active involvement in her company’s fight against the company that’s trying to replace the communal space with a mall.

While going through the CCTV footage from the day of Tate’s demise, Callie and Wilson chance upon the boy, with whose help Tate got the access to the drugs.

Callie realizes Wilson was being driven by emotions, which would enable him to act irrationally. Just when she decides to go with Wilson to meet the boy who the judge feels is responsible for Tate’s death, Jamie offers to help Callie with her fight against the multinational organization, by digging information about its functioning.

Callie manages to calm an enraged Wilson, who has an outburst of anger on seeing the boy who gave Tate drugs that ended up taking his life. Wilson is touched by Callie’s gesture and even considers her request to not act against Malika for violating her restraining order, when the latter swears on her life and says that all that her friend did was fight for equal rights, with no intentions to hurt him.

In Episode 12 we see Callie dodge the big bullet. But just when she thinks she can breathe a sigh of relief, Jamie unwillingly reveals to her that he’s representing the company she’s fighting against.

A dumb-stricken Callie wanly looks at Jamie, unable to comprehend the new trouble, which is highly capable of jeopardizing her career and the new relationship. We need to wait until Episode 13 to see how Callie deals with yet another issue, which has added to her already existing problems.
