'Love Alarm' star Go Min-si apologizes after underage drinking photo surfaces, Internet says 'leave her alone'
'Love Alarm' actress Go Min-si took to social media to apologize after a photo of her allegedly drinking at a bar with friends when she was underage surfaced online. The photo is allegedly from 2011 when the actress, who is popular for her role in 'Love Alarm', was 17.
Go Min-si, born in 1995, made her debut in the drama, 'My Sassy Girl', in 2017, and gained popularity through her supporting role in 'The Smile Had Left Your Eyes'. She has since acted in several top dramas such as 'Love Alarm' and 'Sweet Home' and is set to appear with Lee Do-hyun in 'Youth of May', a drama around the Gwangju Uprising in South Korea that took place in 1980.

The photo of Go Min-si drinking with friends first appeared on an online forum on March 19, according to allkpop, and featured the actress with five other friends, whose faces were blurred out.
Go Min-si took to Instagram to confirm that the girl in the photo is her and apologized for her actions. She wrote, "First and foremost, I would like to apologize for greeting you with such a disagreeable post, as well as for causing a disturbance with the photo of me drinking underage."
She continued, "I believe that there were some of those who have been cheering me on who hoped that it was not me in the photo, and those who would rather that I quickly come forward. I also personally feel that it would not be adequate to let such things pass, with the excuses that I was young, I was immature, and it was all in the past."
The actress added, "I am aware that some of you will be hurt with a scar that cannot quite be described in words from this incident. I acknowledge that my past actions shape who I am today, and I take full responsibility for myself in the past. Even if it is difficult to fully relay my sincerity through words alone, as words can rarely paint the whole picture, I would like to nonetheless apologize to those who were hurt by this recent incident."
The actress concluded the apology note, writing, "I will do my best to walk a more mature and righteous path." The surfaced photo comes after numerous Korean drama actors were accused of bullying, with their projects either being suspended or them being removed from their roles.
The most prominent accusations come against 'River Where the Moon Rises' actor Ji Soo, who was accused of misconduct and sexual assault and was replaced midway in the drama by actor Na In-woo. Other actors such as Jo Byung-gyu, Park Hye-soo and Choi Ye-bin have also faced allegations of abuse, which have been denied by their agencies.
Many took to social media to express their support for Go Min-si and to defend her. One user wrote, "Seriously!!! Not again. I am pretty sure many of these neitezens would have done this..leave her alone."
Another shared, "I hate this. Can we not have them apologize for things that normal people don't gotta apologize for?" One user tweeted, "Is there no end to dragging idols and actors. At this rate they should shut down their entertainment industry all together. Are actors and idols supposed to be saint or something or are the common people such great saints?"
