She has also filed for primary custody of the estranged couple's two daughters until her soon-to-be-ex gets proper accommodation even though they will be heading for joint legal and physical custody eventually. According to court documents obtained by E!, Savchenko is allegedly crashing at a friend's place, but Samodanova still wants him to pay child and spousal support based on the "current financial circumstances of both parties." Court filings reveal Samodanova is currently unemployed with her only source of income being a separate property rental unit that brings yearly $37,250. The dance studio she co-owns with Savchenko has been closed since February due to the pandemic, she claims, adding how much her ex earns from his employment.
Samodanova has claimed amidst their break up that Savchenko was unfaithful to her throughout their marriage. While Savchenko denied these allegations telling Entertainment Tonight that he "never actually cheated on her", he also claimed that he and his ex "had problems for years" owing to her issues with his DWTS success. "I was in a mentally abusive, jealous relationship," he told ET. "I always said to myself, 'Listen, she's the mother of your kids, and you love her, just make it work for your kids.'"
Samodanova's reps hit back with a statement to the outlet claiming: "Elena has been busy launching their shared dance studio over the last several years and raising their daughters. It's no secret that Gleb has had affairs with former dance partners—and who knows who else. Playing the victim is gross negligence on his part and he should perhaps watch what he says before Elena decides to meet him at his level and release everyone's names."
Savchenko's rep too responded to the statement with one of their own, that read: "Gleb has been just as involved in launching their shared dance studio and raising their daughters as Elena. He won't be intimidated by Elena's threats and is disappointed by the betrayal of Vlad, a friend and employee. However, for the sake of their daughters, would prefer to keep everything as amicable as possible under the circumstances."
While Samodanova was recently spotted kissing Vlad Kvartin, Savchenko sparked romance rumours with Cassie Scerbo after being spotted vacationing together in Mexico with his DWTS Season 29 celebrity dance partner Chrishell Stause, and her current beau and fellow DWTS pro, Keo Mostepe. Savchenko, however, maintains he and Scerbo are just friends.
