MIAMI, FLORIDA: After weeks of speculation that Gisele Bundchen and Tom Brady were having marital problems, the couple officially called it quits on Friday, October 28, after 13 years of marriage. However, it appears that the couple's marriage may have suffered even before their issues became known, and Bundchen was already planning for her future as a single mother.
Records revealed that the 42-year-old supermodel had secretly purchased a $1.25M house in Miami through an LLC in February, just two weeks before Brady announced his return to the NFL, reported Radar. This revelation suggested that Bundchen was aware she might be splitting up from the 45-year-old quarterback after he broke his word and returned to the NFL, his first love.

Located in Surfside, the home is just a few blocks from the beach. The $1.25M property was bought on February 28 and measures 1,540sqft. The modest three-bedroom, three-bathroom home is nothing compared to the $27M home that she and Brady shared in the "Billionaire Bunker" section of Indian Creek Country Club. The home has a spacious kitchen with a marble "waterfall island," a wide master bathroom with his-and-her sinks and a gorgeous garden. It is listed online as a "true gem."
Bundchen completed the necessary paperwork to begin remodeling the "charming Art Deco cottage", which was approved on June 10. Only her nqme was on the paperwork, per the NY Post.
Bundchen and Brady own a number of properties which include a $3.6M apartment in New York City, a $17M mansion in Miami's Indian Creek Island, a lavish estate in Yellowstone, Montana, that's reportedly worth $5.7M, and a stunning home in Costa Rica. The Brazilian supermodel hasn't indicated whether she intended to stay in Florida, where Brady plays for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, or move elsewhere.
On Friday, October 28, Brady and Bundchen, for the first time released separate statements announcing their divorce. "In recent days my wife and I finalized our divorce from one another after 13 years of marriage," Brady wrote in an Instagram post. "We arrived at this decision amicably and with gratitude for the time we spent together. We are blessed with beautiful and wonderful children who will continue to be the center of our world in every way. We will continue to work together as parents to always ensure they receive the love and attention they deserve."
Gisele posted, "To end a marriage is never easy but we have grown apart. I feel blessed for the time we had together and only wish the best for Tom always." The pair has two children, Benjamin and Vivian, whom they intend to raise as a team.
Brady also has a 15-year-old son, Jack Edward Moynahan, also known as John Edward Thomas Moynahan, from his first marriage with actress Bridget Moynahan. They have spilt custody over their son. Jack spends his time equally between both his mother's and fathers's houses. He also loves spending time with stepmom Gisele and his half-siblings Vivian and Ben, reported The Things.
