Kaitlan Collins' article for the outlet, 'The Internet Wonders: Are the Obama Girls Skirts Too Short', soon went viral

MANHATTAN, NEW YORK: CNN reporter Kaitlan Collins is under fire after some of her old Daily Caller articles resurfaced and were criticized for being 'insensitive'. The articles that the star White House correspondent wrote for the outlet, including ones with headlines  ‘The Internet Wonders: Are the Obama Girls Skirts Too Short,’ ‘13 Syrian Refugees We’d Take Immediately,’ and ‘Ice Bucket Challenge Hipsters: These Guantanamo Detainees Did It First’, had netizens buzzing as they slammed her ‘insensitive‘ reporting. Collins is making news recently after interviewing former President Donald Trump in a town hall meeting for CNN.

However, Collins in a tweet clarified and apologized for using ‘gay slurs’ as well. “When I was in college, I used ignorant language in a few tweets to my friends. It was immature but it doesn’t represent the way I feel at all. I regret it and apologize,” she wrote. She apparently used the word ‘fag’ while responding to a tweet, and also wrote to another user, "If I wanna room with a lesbian."

Many criticized Kaitlan's work at Daily Caller, with one user reacting, "HOLEEE S**T!! Host of CNN's awful Trump Town Hall@kaitlancollins bylines at Tucker Carlson's WHITE NATIONALIST Daily Caller included; "ARE THE OBAMA GIRLS SKIRTS TOO SHORT??" Sasha and Malia were 16 and 13 at the time.

A second tweeted, "The great american journalism kaitlan collins did at the daily caller before cnn had her hosting the town hall tonight."

'Why did CNN chose Daily Caller’s Kaitlan Collins...'

"The host Kaitlan Collins had some real hit articles before working for Trump back in the day," one simply wrote with screenshot from her Daily Caller articles. Another user asked, "Target audience… Why did CNN chose Daily Caller’s Kaitlan Collins instead of a seasoned WH correspondent? Jim Acosta, Dana Bash, Steve Berman, John King, Alyson Camerota are all still employed at CNN. Chris Licht chose Collins when he wooed Trump."
