Kaitlan Collins dumps 'superagent' she shared with Don Lemon after off-camera shouting match
MANHATTAN, NEW YORK: 'CNN This Morning' host Kaitlan Collins has split from her "super agent" amid ongoing fued with her co-host Don Lemon. Collins, 30, parted ways with Jay Sures of United Talent Agency, which she shared with Lemon, 57, after the two got into a screaming match off-camera during 'CNN This Morning.'
The 57-year-old allegedly "screamed" at Collins after accusing her of repeatedly interrupting him during the broadcast. The altercation took place on December 8, 2022, in front of the television crew and her other co-host, Poppy Harlow. After the incident, the journalist reportedly ran off the set in tears. The bitter feud between Collins and Lemon, Sures' 'star client,' eventually led to their split, Daily Mail reports.

Who is Jay Sures?
Jay Sures is the vice chairman of the United Talent Agency. According to the agency's website, he is responsible for television, radio and news, culture and leadership, and public speaking. In a statement to the media, Sures confirmed the departure of his star client Collins, saying, "We wish her well with her future endeavors." It is unclear, however, when Sures and Collins parted ways. "Jay was effectively not repping her," the source said. Collins, however, has since moved on to Ari Emanuel's agency William Morris Endeavor (WME).
Nevertheless, Lemon has found himself in a string of controversies in the past week and was allegedly placed on formal training. Previously, Lemon made a comment about GOP 2024 hopeful Nikki Haley who is 51, and said she is "past her prime." He made this comment in February and was placed on 3-day suspension and "formal training" for his remark. On his return back on the show on February 22, the host tweeted, "I appreciate the opportunity to be back on 'CNN This Morning' today." "To my network, my colleagues, and our incredible audience — I'm sorry. I've heard you, I'm learning from you, and I'm committed to doing better. See you soon," he tweeted.
'CNN This Morning' has been a rating disaster
Most recently, in an episode from last week, the co-host took a dramatic swing to highlight and strongly advocate for voters to elect the first female president in 2024. "There are so many places around the world where there have been women leaders who are running the country... but not in the biggest democracy in the world?" he questioned on the early morning show. Furthermore, 'CNN This Morning' has been a rating disaster and early last month had its lowest viewership since the show's launch, with just over 360,000 average total viewers. In the 25 to 54-year-old demographic, the show had just 73,000 viewers.
