MEAWW previously reported that former Bristol City player footballer Osagi Bascome was  tragically murdered in Bermuda. Bascome, one of the sunshine island’s most noted players, was allegedly stabbed to death on December 18, 2021.  The death of the 23-year-old prompted a murder investigation at that time. “We know people saw what happened and we urge them to do the right thing by Osagi and tell us," detective chief inspector Peter Stableford said.

Bascome was the son of Herbert Bascome and brother of Oronde, Onias and Okera Bascome, all of whom played for the Bermuda national cricket team. According to Royalgazette, a man named Raheem Wray, 24, was charged with his killing in St George’s. He did not enter a plea as the case must be heard in the Supreme Court.
