CLEVELAND, OHIO: Jorge Masvidal, a former UFC BMF champion, expressed interest in boxing against Jake Paul, also known as 'The Problem Child'. The mixed martial arts veteran asserted in a recent interview with Fight Hub TV that if they engaged in combat, he would injure Paul.

Following his lackluster performance against Nate Diaz in August, Jake Paul announced that his next fight will be on December 15. Paul felt that fighting before Christmas would be an advantage for him. He, however, did not reveal who he would be competing against.

Jorge Masvidal wants to 'bust' Jake Paul

Jorge Masvidal believes 'The Problem Child' will not be able to match up to his abilities based on what he has seen him achieve against Tommy Fury and Nate Diaz.

He claimed that even though he liked Paul, if the two entered a ring, he would injure the YouTuber-turned-boxer.

“I’d rather show you with my hands. But I would bust that dude up,” said Masvidal.

He added, "I like the kid, he’s cool. I got no problems with him. But, if we’re going to box, I’m going to try to rip his head off."

Considering his upbringing and perseverance, he believes it is only fitting that he will cease being 'The Problem Child'. Masvidal also felt that Paul would find it difficult to keep up with his fighting style.

"I can get the job done. Just based on conditioning, grit, and stuff. The pace that I can keep. I don’t think he can handle my pace over a period of time. For eight rounds, I don’t think he can handle that pace," he added.

Fans react to Jorge Masvidal's statement

The video received mixed reactions from fans on the internet. A fans said, "Masvidal would get dropped like a mannequin." Another said, "Bro about to take the ben askren and tyron woodley route."
