At the end of 'Flower of Evil' Episode 12, we saw how Hee-seong had given in to his rage after finding out his mother being blackmailed by the house help who found out the truth about the real Hee-seong being stabbed by his own mother and how the family had buried the truth by bringing in Hyun-soo to take Hee-seong's place. At the time when Hee-seong strangles the house help, his mother hides behind the kitchen counter; however, when Hee-seong's father arrives home to see the dead house help and his wife bleeding from a wound, Baek loses his calm and slaps his son.

He reminds his son about the promise that was made, the promise of not killing anymore, and living a normal life. However, yet again, Hee-seong's father finds himself being forced to clean up after his son. He had assumed that he had fooled Hyun-soo and that he would be taken care of at Gapyong where Hyun-soo said that he would be staying the night. However, to his surprise, both Ji-won and Hyun-soo arrive at the residence just when Hee-seong and his father hide the body of their house help in the car.

The two of them are allowed in and Ji-won seems to confess to Hee-seong's father and mother that she knows who her husband really is because the promo features Hee-seong's mother exclaim with surprise and ask Ji-won how much she knows exactly. After all, she is on edge after having just witnessed a murder and if things were to go as her husband and son had planned, Hyun-soo will follow her house help very soon. So before their plan works, if Hyun-soo were to figure out the truth about Hee-seong being the accomplice, everything that Baek and his wife had worked hard for over the years will go to waste.

The promo also indicates how Hyun-soo might yet again be blamed for a crime that Hee-seong had committed because at one point in the short teaser, we see him beg and plead that he did not do it. Turns out, Ji-won might not arrest Hyun-soo for his past crimes, but for the one that he is being framed for by Hee-seong and his father. How will the couple come out of this unscathed? Hee-seong definitely doesn't look like someone who can be dealt with easily.

'Flower of Evil' will air on tvN on Wednesday and Thursday at 10.50 pm KST and can be streamed on Viki Global.
