JERSEY CITY, NEW JERSEY: Rapper Flo Rida’s six-year-old special needs son is reportedly in critical condition after suffering “severe” injuries in a fall from a five-story apartment building window earlier this month. Zohar Dillard, who has been diagnosed with autism and hydrocephalus, fell from a New Jersey-based 74 Pollock Avenue building, where he was living with his mother, Alexis Adams.

Dillard is currently in an intensive care unit recovering from his injuries including, multiple pelvis fractures, left metatarsal fractures, grade three liver laceration, internal bleeding, and collapsed lungs, according to News 12. Following the accident, Dillard's mother filed a lawsuit against the owners and management of the Jersey City apartment building where the incident took place. On March 27, Adams filed an eight-page lawsuit against Pitch Perfect 74 LLC Goldberg Management and Carlos Machado, claiming that the 74 Pollock Avenue apartment building was equipped with “windows that posed a hazardous condition and/or by installing incorrectly sized guards.”

Adams' lawsuit

The lawsuit further stated that Dillard “has incurred and in the future will incur expenses for his treatment of injuries, has been disabled and in the future will be disabled and not be able to perform his usual functions, and has been and in the future will be caused great pain and suffering.” In the lawsuit, Adams is seeking “damages, together with interest, attorney’s fees, costs of suit, payment of all medical bills,” according to Radar Online. The defendants mentioned in the lawsuit are yet to comment on the allegations.

Flo Rida abandoned his special needs son

Talking about the horrific incident, Adams told Daily Voice that "as a single mom to a special needs child, this feels like a nightmare. My heart is broken into a million pieces, It is devastating to see my child go through such pain and trauma knowing that this could've been avoided." Flo Rida isn’t named directly in the lawsuit filed by his former lover. The 6-year-old’s son fall came just a few days after Flo Rida called him an "evil f'n child.”

Earlier this month, Adams claimed that the 43-year-old rapper doesn’t want to maintain any relationship with Dillard and he started paying $5,000 per month in child support only after a judge ordered him to do so. "Flo Rida has only seen his son once during the paternity test but kept his shades on, and his back turned," Adams stated according to Radar Online. She added, "They were in the same room. He didn't try to hug Zohar, or anything. It was very cold."
