'She was a musical comrade': Fleetwood Mac's Lindsey Buckingham pays heartwarming tribute to Christine McVie
LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM: Christine McVie, co-lead vocalist, and songwriter for Fleetwood Mac alongside Lindsey Buckingham, died at the age of 79 on Wednesday, November 30, following an illness. Buckingham and McVie collaborated on phenomenal hit songs like 'Don't Stop' and 'Little Lies'. The co-lead vocalist came forward to remember McVie and said that "her spirit will live on through that body of work." The fans were in absolute awe of the reaction.
Buckingham remembered the British rockstar and wrote, "Christine McVie's sudden passing is profoundly heartbreaking. Not only were she and I part of the magical family of Fleetwood Mac, to me Christine was a musical comrade, a friend, a soul mate, a sister. For over four decades, we helped each other create a beautiful body of work and a lasting legacy that continues to resonate today. I feel very lucky to have known her. Though she will be deeply missed, her spirit will live on through that body of work and that legacy." Buckingham collaborated with the 79-year-old singer on several projects and released 'Lindsey Buckingham and Christine McVie,' a studio album on June 9, 2017.
