LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM: Fleetwood Mac member, keyboardist, and songwriter Christine McVie died on Wednesday, November 30. The artist, who died at 79, was married twice and was famous for dating Fleetwood Mac's lighting engineer, Curry Grant.

According to Who Dated Who, Christine was initially married to John McVie in 1968 and celebrated their wedding at a hotel in Birmingham. The best man at this wedding was Peter Green. The duo fell in love while working together in Fleetwood. Their marriage lasted for about eight years, as they split in 1976.

She once said in an interview with Rolling Stone, “I just think it’s impossible to work in the band with your spouse. Imagine the tension of living with someone 24 hours a day, on the road, in an already stressful situation, with the added negativity of too much alcohol.” Though the duo parted ways, they still collaborated in the band and had a professional relationship.

In another interview with Rolling Stone, she claimed, "We just reached a point where we couldn’t be in the same room together. We’d probably spent more time with one another than most couples who have lived together for twenty-five years. We had no individuality, no separation." In the same interview, she mentioned, "John was engaged when I first met him. And then the engagement was broken off. He had a wonderful sense of humor, the most endearing person. I loved him. He loved me."

The 'Little Things' songwriter got married for the second time in her life to Eddy Quintela who is also a song writer. Though there are limited information about their relationship, it is stated that the duo composed songs for the band, including the band’s 1990 single 'Save Me' and 1987’s 'Little Lies,' reported hollywoodlife.com. Curry Grant, who worked as the band's lighting engineer, was one of McVie's romantic interests. Though there's limited information about their love story, it is well-known that the band's song, 'You Make Loving Fun', was written in memory of McVie's relationship with the engineer. The song was released as the fourth and final single from the album, 'Rumours' in 1977. The song became the album's fourth Top 10 hit and even marked at No 9 on the US Billboard Hot 100.

McVie also had a three-year-long relationship with 'Beach Boys' singer Dennis Wilson from 1979 to 1982. About this relationship, she once said, this relationship “awakened things in me I’d been scared to experience and made me feel the extremes of every emotion," reported Uncut. According to Cheatsheet.com, the artist said, “He was very charismatic, great looking, very charming, very cute — if you can call a guy with a beard and a voice like Satan ‘cute’. He used to draw people into his life, strangers off planes and off the streets, and they’d become his best friends.”

She once said to Rolling Stone, "Dennis walked into the studio one night and whisked me off my feet. It was probably the experience of a lifetime. Dennis was such a character. Half of him was like a little boy, and the other half was insane. A really split personality.” According to Cheatsheet.com, McVie also composed the song, 'Only Over You' as a tribute to her relationship with Dennis.

Further, she added, “I think I mothered him, to be honest. He used to go off, and I wouldn’t see him for days and days, and then he’d come back and I’d mother him and get him all nice and sober, and then he’d go off and go crazy again. It’s one of those things. Opposites attract.” In a book called 'Fleetwood Mac on Fleetwood Mac' written by Sean Egan, she also explained that their relationship did not end on good terms and her emotions at the time of Dennis's death. She explained, “My secretary called me up at eight in the morning. I knew something was wrong,” McVie explained. “She said, ‘Dennis drowned today.’ And my first reaction was to say, ‘My God, is he all right?’ I still really can’t believe it. He just seemed indestructible.”
