What is the flavored water trend?

‘WaterTok’ is one of the newest trends to take over timelines. In an effort to increase their daily water intake, people are making drinks out of flavored syrups, powder packets, ice, and water.

Since last week, the hashtags ‘flavored water’ and ‘water recipe’ have amassed hundreds of millions of views and tens of millions of views, respectively, on TikTok. Recipes for everything from ‘ocean water’, ‘pink wedding cake water’, and ‘peach ring water’ are being shared.

The makers unanimously agree—sometimes to the chagrin of commenters—that the flavored water creations are encouraging them to drink more water. Some claim it helps them cut back on soda use, while others want to gain or maintain their weight.

How to make your own unique flavored drink?

You might find videos from Tonya, also known as @takingmylifebackat42, if you search for #watertok. On her page, she has posted numerous tutorials for flavoring water.

She is undoubtedly appealing to individuals who enjoy sweets with flavors like ‘banana split’ and ‘pink wedding cake’. She primarily flavors her water with Torani syrups and flavored water packets.

Keely Lindler, a teacher and TikToker, has likewise embraced the craze of flavored water. She introduces a brand-new water flavor blend she created with Sonic Ocean Water and Nerds Strawberry water packets in the video down below.

Both single-serve packets are available in bulk on Amazon, where you can also get Sunkist and Skittles Tropical flavors.
