Julia Wandelt: Woman who claims she's Madeleine McCann asks police psychic Fia Johansson for help after major backlash
LONDON, ENGLAND: Julia Wandelt, who also goes by Julia Faustyna or Julia Wendell, made headlines for her now-public belief that she was the missing toddler Madeleine McCann. After facing immense backlash from public and her family, as she has reportedly claimed, she has hired a police psychic to investigate her case. McCann went missing in a hotel in Portugal during a family trip in 2007, when she was barely four. Wandelt has claimed she had "solid" evidence to prove she was the missing child.
Her proof includes photos, which show her having freckles in the same place as McCann and a speck in her eye. While her claims began gaining momentum on Instagram, it has also made a section of netizens angry, with some calling her an opportunist. Amidst the social media-storm, The Daily Star reported that Wandelt has now employed the services of Fia Johansson, famously known as Persian Medium, as per her website.

Who is Dr Fia Johansson?
Johansson, who has reportedly helped the US police personnel work on many cases, has been hired by Wandelt to help investigate her case. She has now issued a statement along with a video on Instagram, where she announced that she was going through Wandelt's case and urged netizens to stop their online hate and "respect her privacy."
Her statement read, “To everyone interested in Julia’s search for answers, please understand we are in the middle of an investigation. This is a vulnerable woman seeking answers about her identity and her life. Regardless of your opinions, she is a human being who deserves respect. When everything is done in the investigation in a few weeks, you can learn more, but more now, please respect this woman’s privacy.” She then goes on to say, “Her background was challenging and messy. There is no need to spew hatred, judgment, and especially threats towards a person in need. This is unacceptable and needs to stop.”
‘She needs help!’
In the video, Johansson addresses the social media outrage following Wandelt's claims. She said, "At this moment, she needs help. I do understand that 50% of you guys hate her now to the hundredth degree, just because you guys think and believe that she's 'not the real person, that she's not Madeleine, she's this and that."
Johansson goes on to assure people that a thorough investigation was underway. "I'm telling you guys, my team and me, we are investigating already about her family, her background, where she came from, which family she belonged to, what school actually she went to, and all other details. We understand that this case, Madeleine's case, would be very sensitive for every, each of you."
