Who is Fetty Luciano? Brooklyn rapper, 26, turns himself in over pool party shooting
Fetty Luciano, a Brooklyn rapper, was arrested in relation to a shooting at a pool party that took place earlier this month. The shooting, which left three people injured, including two party-goers and a security guard, took place during a private celebration at a luxury hotel called The Mansion at Glen Cove on Long Island’s Gold Coast.
Speaking of rappers getting arrested, hip-hop artist Paper Lovee was earlier arrested by Atlanta Police for his alleged involvement in a shooting at a convenience store. Another rapper, SpotemGottem, also came under the radar of the Dallas Police Department in August 2021 for his suspected relation to a murder. Other hip-hop artists such as Polo G, Bandman Kevo, and 9lokkNine too made it to the news for being arrested.

Who is Fetty Luciano?
Fetty Luciano’s real name is Remy Marshall, and he is a 26-year-old rapper from the East Flatbush neighborhood of Brooklyn. As a teenager, the rapper was heavily inclined toward basketball. The hip-hop artist is best known for his songs like ‘What We Doin', ‘Bendi’, ‘Woo Back (Remix), ‘Fasho’, ‘On The Wall’ featuring Bobby Shmurda, and ‘The Wave’ among a few others. Fetty enjoys close to 260K followers on Instagram but shares very limited posts with his fans and followers.
Fetty Luciano was earlier arrested along with Bobby Shmurda and fellow members of GS9 on various charges, as reported by All Music. The rapper got signed to Def Jam in 2018 with his mixtape called ‘A Story to Tell’. Fetty reportedly started rapping during his earlier prison term.
Why was Fetty Luciano arrested?
According to the New York Post, Fetty Luciano turned himself in to the Glen Cove Police. He was charged with attempted murder, criminal possession of a weapon, and reckless endangerment. According to the cops, the gunfire took place after the security guard tried to intervene and break up a fight between two attendees on July 10. Fetty is expected to be arraigned on the charges in Nassau County on Friday.

The publication reported that around 150 to 200 people were present at the party. The event was advertised as ‘Big Fendi Celebrity B-Day Pool Party’. Reports suggest that the shots fired at the venue ensued chaos among the guests and the three victims reportedly suffered life-threatening injuries. It was earlier reported that the alleged suspect fled from the scene before the cops arrived.
