LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: ‘Today’ host Al Roker, who recently had his knee replacement surgery, embarks on an activity despite his doctors forbidding him. Fans shared their concern after the journalist and weather presenter shared a clip of himself disobeying a doctor’s orders.

The NBC reporter, Al Roker, had his fans worried after he posted a video engaging in a risky activity. After Al’s knee replacement surgery, he stayed home for recovery and returned to the ‘Today’ show only recently, surprising his co-hosts, Craig Melvin, Hoda Kotb, Savannah Guthrie and Sheinelle Jones. Although he’s still recovering from the surgery, he notably left his fans worried after disobeying the doctor’s orders to not partake in any activities that could harm his knee.

‘I thought you couldn't fly’

The 68-year-old ‘Today’ host took to Instagram to share a video of him flying on an airplane. He recorded a video aimed at an airplane’s window, filming the skies to show haze outside the window. He appeared to be fleeing the aftermath of the recent disaster in New York City, as it was covered in smoke and orange haze, triggered by the Canadian wildfire. He captioned the video, “This smoke and haze is for real out here at @lgaairport delaying takeoffs and landings!”

Though the weatherman landed safely, he neglected his doctor’s order, which left fans worried as they flooded his comment section with remarks expressing their deep concern for his health. One fan exclaimed, “Where are you going? I thought you couldn’t fly”, while another questioned, “You can fly so soon after your knee surgery?” One more fan responded, “Wow already flying after knee replacement!” Despite the crazy environment in New York City, fans were more concerned about his health and his recent major knee surgery, as one fan claimed, “I thought your doctor wouldn't let you fly”, and another commented, “Didn’t you just have a knee replacement! Be careful!” One more user questioned him, “Are you ok sitting for so long with your recent surgery?”

Al Roker’s risky adventures

While Al Roker is indulging in risky activity, he recently missed a major event as his doctors forbade him from participating in an important project post-surgery. Al is still recovering from his surgery and needs to avoid certain activities that are sensitive for him. The NBC star shared photos of himself with his wife, Deborah Roberts, at the Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic. He revealed that he attended the prestigious sporting event and captioned, “Since my doc wouldn’t let me travel to #kansascity to support the @bigslickkc, we went to the @veuveclicquot polo classic at Liberty State Park and hung out with husband and wife polo players @nachofigueras [Ignatio Figueras] and @delfinablaquier [Delfina Blaquier] and @gayleking [Gayle King] and @allymisslove [Ally Love] So much fun watching the matches!”
