Fans pray for Jeremy Renner after a disastrous snow plowing accident puts him in 'critical but stable condition'

RENO, NEVADA: It’s only been 24 hours since the world entered a New Year and a devastating piece of news has already made people believe that 2023 has started on a disastrous note. Actor Jeremy Renner, who is known for playing the role of Hawkeye in the Disney+ series, has been taken to the hospital after suffering severe injuries after a weather-related accident. According to the actor’s spokesperson, Renner is in ‘critical but stable condition’ after the accident.

The accident occurred when the actor was “plowing snow” near his house in Mt. Rose-Ski Tahoe in Reno, Nevada. The spokesperson also told Deadline that the ‘Mayor of Kingstown’ star was airlifted earlier Sunday to the hospital. As soon as the news of the actor’s accident surfaced online, fans sent their good wishes to the actor and his family for a speedy recovery. But they also didn’t shy away from saying that 2023 already started on a disastrous note.

Meanwhile, one of the users noted that he is “really lucky” to be stable because some people weren’t that lucky to survive the harsh weather. The person wrote, “I live in the same area as he does and it’s really bad. rained inches, then the snow came and made everything so slick and icy. I’ve seen multiple accidents so far. Tens of thousands of people without power still, glad he is in stable condition some others weren’t as lucky.”

The actor has owned a house in the region for a while now and even worked with volunteers to bring 1600 meals to the homeless population in November 2019.

Renner has been garnering more and more recognition after playing the role of Hawkeye in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) and has appeared in almost five movies as the superhero. On the other hand, he received critical acclaim for his roles in movies such as ‘The Town’ and ‘The Hurt Locker’. He even went on to receive nominations at the Academy Awards for the aforementioned films.

Currently, the actor can be seen playing the role of Mike McClusky in Taylor Sheridan’s Paramount+ series ‘Mayor of Kingstown’.
