LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: During the reunion segment of the 'Bachelor in Paradise' Season 8 finale, Michael Allio finally apologized to Sierra Jackson. Fans, on the other hand, were not only dissatisfied with his apology, but also with Danielle Maltby, who recently referred to Sierra as "what's her face" on Kaitlyn Bristowe's 'Off the Vine' podcast.

Danielle and Michael spent the majority of Season 8 of 'Bachelor in Paradise' together. Michael had a connection with Sierra before Danielle went to the beach. While on the beach, Michael grew extremely close to Sierra. Sadly, their love could not continue forever. Michael broke up with Sierra after she gave him a thoughtful present. He indicated at the time that he was still dealing with his wife's loss. But as soon as Danielle came to the beach, he was able to put his pain aside and pursue a romance with her.

In Episode 4, Michael informed Sierra that he thought their relationship was growing too quickly and that they should just be friends. Sierra was astonished and didn't want to date anybody else, so she self-eliminated, but when Danielle came to the beach, he was completely committed to her. "I think looking back on the breakup, I didn’t give you the kind of closure that you needed," Michael said to Sierra at the reunion. "You deserved a lot more than that, and I couldn’t give you the type of love that you were giving back to me. I’m sorry that I hurt you."

Sierra accepts his apologies with kindness. Fans of the franchise are outraged, especially after watching how graciously Sierra handled the matter as Danielle disparaged her on Kaitlyn's podcast. Danielle highlighted Michael and Sierra's relationship with Kaitlyn on her podcast, according to Reddit. During their conversation, Kaitlyn refers to Sierra as "What's her face?" rather than by name. The women proceed to justify Michael's behavior.

Fans slammed the network for cutting Sierra off while addressing Michael, "They did Sierra so dirty omg. Making her speak in front of them and then cutting her off." Another viewer added, "Jesse quickly pivoting and only allowing Sierra to have one sentence so that we don’t get to watch her eat Michael alive is so disappointing as a viewer." One fan also wrote how Michale needed more grilling for his actions, "They should have let Sierra say so much more.. Michael deserving a little more grilling. This reunion sucks." Fans were shocked and disappointed at Danielle as they write, "so… this reunion was filmed after sierra and michael’s breakup aired and she was making comments on sm. and you mean to tell me danielle said all that stuff on kaitlyn’s podcast AFTER sierra was very graceful and mature to both of them at that same reunion?"

Fans also called out Michael for his decision to confess his love for Danielle during the reunion, "Sierra looking like a complete vision while this bloated dude chooses the live shows to tell Danielle he loves her spare me, it’a giving contrived." Witnessing Sierra being supportive of Michael and Danielle's relationship only to get heat from Danielle later, made a fan tweet, "Sierra is so cute & supportive and then Danielle goes and calls her “what’s her name” on a podcast… let me just." Slamming Michael for using her to get Danielle, a fan wrote, "Sierra deserved better and she’s been dragged by folks in bachelor nation for no reason! Also Michael definitely used her to get to Danielle." Demanding apologies for Sierra from the couple, a fan wrote, "Sierra got used by Michael & producers and deserved much much better. I would imagine she never wants to deal with this franchise again but I hope Michael and Danielle can muster proper apologies off screen and more respect for Sierra in general!"
