'Bachelor in Paradise' 2022 Finale: Logan Palmer lauded for standing up to Kate Gallivan and 'reclaiming his voice'

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: In the reunion section of the 'Bachelor in Paradise' Season 8 finale, Kate Gallivan apologized for all the terrible, judgemental things she said about Logan Palmer on tape. Fans soon rushed to social media to condemn Kate and praise Logan for the manner he handled the situation.

After a montage of Logan and Kate's rocky relationship aired, Jesse Palmer approached the two with questions. When Kate had the floor, she turned to Logan and expressed her reservations about him on the show. She apologized for making remarks about him driving an orange Honda, being 26, being a dog walker, being unable to afford to work out at Equinox, and so on. She said that all of her statements were “so out of pocket” to her pals.

Kate apologized and stated that she never intended for him to hear her nasty comments. And he all but reminded her that they were on a reality show! "There’s kind of cameras everywhere. We’re wearing mics," Logan explained. Instead, Kate claims that her reservations were about "deeper issues," such as Logan not being ready for a relationship, rather than tangible matters like Logan's car.

Logan was clearly not convinced. He opens up about taking odd jobs to fund his dream of working in the film industry. "I moved to California four years ago to pursue a career in film. I was a scuba instructor and walked dogs to get by. I did whatever I could for a year, and I ended up building an amazing career using a camera, and I’m so proud of that…and I told Kate, and she tried to make fun of me for it. She tried to humiliate me for it in front of her friends…I wish you did say it to me. It would have cleared a lot of things up," Logan added as the crowd cheered him on.

Fans of the franchise quickly took to social media to call Kate out. "Kate “apologizing” to Logan for being an awful person by saying she’s sorry he had to hear it. She was horrible. I’m glad he clapped back," said one user. Another fan added, "So glad Logan was able to reclaim his voice and officially stand up to and walk away from Kate. I wish him nothing but the best in life bruh." On the other hand, a fan questioned Logan's decision to be with Kate at the first place, "Kate is such inauthentic trash. Logan is a good guy but he also has to take a look at himself and figure out why he wanted to be with someone who was not right for him and so unappreciative of him and didn’t deserve him." Calling Kate an 'embarrassment,' a fan tweeted, "Kate is such a b***h. She is malicious and Logan has done nothing to her but be tolerant and caring. Her karma is coming. Shanae, too. With her sorry a** sitting there trying to hide a smile. They’re both embarrassments to women."

Unhappy how the issue was addressed, a fan tweeted, "How the actual f**k are y’all gonna spend more than half the season focusing on KATE but when it comes to the finale, you barely give Logan a chance to speak and drag her a**. As she very much deserves." Slamming Kate for using Logan, a fan wrote, "Kate was never in paradise for the right reasons. It was all to get air time to be on other shows and date celebs. She played and used Logan." Wrapping up her time on the show, a fan tweeted, "I have never met a sane Kate, and f**king #BachelorInParadise kate is queen of crazy. She smiled while destroying a relationship she was involved with. What a narcissistic, manipulative, psycho b***h. There’s no way Logan was that disillusioned about the same relationship." On the other hand, some fans are happy to see less of Kate during the Reunion segment, "I'm glad the only camera time Kate got tonight was while highlighting the horrible things she said about Logan.. #golddigger."
