RENO, NEVADA: Jeremy Renner is regaining his form. Many people were concerned about 'The Avengers' actor's recovery following his near-death snowplow accident on New Year's Day, but the actor has now provided another comforting update. Following his hospitalization on January 1, 2023, due to a snowplow accident, the 'Hawkeye' actor posted a video of him training and kept fans updated on his recovery status on social media. Renner captioned the video, "UPDATE: I’ve decided to push through the pain of progress(this damn shattered tibia) and take the new parts for a tiny test drive. The body is miraculous…. Even though I feel like the Tin Man, needing oil for all my new joints (hips, knees, ankles, tibia, etc ). Encouraged after this warm-up to press on (don’t tell my PT)."

Since his injury, Renner has maintained a social media presence and has updated his followers on his recovery. At his residence on Mount Rose Highway outside Reno, he was struck by a 14,300-pound snowplow. He was reportedly hospitalized after shattering almost 30 bones.

'The body is miraculous'

The tibia is the bone in the leg that begins at the top of a person's knee and down to the ankle, according to Cleveland Clinic. Renner can be seen using a pulley attached to a machine as he performed numerous exercises to work up his leg muscles in the brief video. He does a few rounds of pull-ups with the pulley before transitioning to using it to jump from side to side while in a deep squat. He stretched out his calf muscles by making running motions with his feet. He finished the video by performing a few more deep squats and stretching his limbs.



 

In the months after his snow plow accident, 'The Hurt Locker' star has kept fans posted on his journey toward recovery. After being struck by a 7-ton snowplow, he broke more than 30 bones and needed numerous surgeries.

The actor shared a video of himself working out for the first time since being hospitalized by lifting a pair of dumbbells in April 2023 to display his amazing progress. He also talked about the positive messages his daughter Ava Berlin Renner, 10, had written around the facility, as reported by People.

What happened to Jeremy Renner?

Renner was run over on January 1, 2023, by a snow plow as he was helping his nephew in pulling his truck out of the snow. He was then flown to the medical facility, where he remained up until January 17, 2023. Renner is currently recovering at home while receiving physical therapy under the doctor's guidance.

Fans and followers on his Instagram handle gushed over Renner's miraculous recovery. One fan on Instagram commented, "Wow bro! You are a BEAST! Love yeww ❤️" A second fan wrote, "Proud of you but do make sure to listen 👂 to the docs orders."

A third fan wrote, "Be careful not to overdo it & set yourself back. Smart progress is more important than super-fast progress. Be sure you are giving your muscles time to heal too — they are doing a lot of work to support your new hardware, be kind to them — don't want to over-stress them. 🫶 🤜💥🤛 🙌💪 😌."

Another fan commented, "You said it! the body is miraculous it will give you back what you put in. Rooting for you brother. ❤️" Someone else wrote, "You are so awesome! I am SO impressed by how far you have come! In the professional fitness world and hear SOO many excuses and complaining from people who have WAY LESS physical issues. Again, so impressed, you are AWESOME 🔥👏💪."

TV personality Allison Hagendorf called Renner "incredible" and wrote, "You are incredible! Thank you for sharing your powerful journey ❤️."
