CHARLOTTE, NORTH CAROLINA: 'America's Got Talent: Fantasy League' finalist Sainted Trap Choir recently managed to get the entire live audience present in the Red Studios Hollywood onto their feet. The Choir group showed off their mesmerizing vocals as they performed Prince's 'Purple Rain'.

Simon Cowell had worked with the group to get them the coveted clearance of the song 'Purple Rain'. Notably, Prince's estate made an exception and gave them permission to perform 'Purple Rain' on the NBC show. The group took the stage all dressed in white and danced and sang the legendary song.

Sainted Trap Choir's performance received Simon's Golden Buzzer and this sent them directly to the finale of the 'AGT' spinoff show.

However, this was not the first time that the group made it to the NBC stage. Dennis Reed, who auditioned on 'AGT' with 'Inspire the Fire' in 2011, teamed up with DJ Fannie Mae and Frenchiee Corpening during the pandemic to create Sainted Trap Choir. The trio came together to get Black singers and musicians together and pay tribute to the southern Black church.

The group was recognized for the first time in August 2022 when they shared a stage with singer Alicia Keys during her tour. However, the group auditioned for the first time in 2023 and made it to the 'AGT' Season 18 semifinals. Sadly, they failed to reach the finale but the choir group received a standing ovation during their redemption performance.

DJ Fannie Mae recently had a conversation with MEAWW and he reflected on his Trap Choir group's wildest redemption performance, Simon's Golden Buzzer, and their upcoming projects. Additionally, DJ Fannie Mae said they would consider quitting their regular jobs if the group wins the NBC spinoff.
