'Love & Hip Hop' stars Erica Mena and Safaree Samuels' two-year-long marriage came to an abrupt end on May 21 when she filed a divorce from him citing how the relationship had become "irretrievably broken" and that there was "no hope of reconciliation." 

In the court documents obtained by ET Online, Erica has asked for "joint legal custody, child support, permanent exclusive use of their marital residence, and as well as for him to pay her attorney's fees." This comes as a surprise given Erica has earned millions over the years as a reality TV star, model, and businesswoman.

What is Erica Mena's net worth?

According to a Celebrity Net Worth report, Erica's net worth is estimated at $1 million. As mentioned earlier, she has worked as a model and that too with several high-end brands such as Tommy Hilfiger, L'Oreal, and Roca Wear. Aside from her role in reality television, she is also a recording artist. In 2013, she released a single titled 'Where Do I Go'.She even wrote a book 'Underneath It All'. 

Why did Erica and Safaree split?

Although the details of their breakup are not known exactly she has been retweeting and posting cryptic tweets that hint towards infidelity. On Monday, May 24, she shared a tweet by Tory Lanez that read: "I'd rather loyalty than love. ... And no the 2 are not the same." What further fueled the rumor was a video of Safaree dancing with another woman that was circulated widely on Twitter. 

 

As previously reported by MEAWW, the couple were shading each other on social media earlier this year. In a now-deleted tweet, Safaree shared: "I mean this from the bottom of my heart getting married was 1 of my BIGGEST mistakes," and added, "and it will never happen again. I’m walking away before I end up in jail over some dumb s**t. Nobody is worth my freedom.”

How long have the couple been together?

Safaree and Erica met on the sets of 'Scared Famous' in 2017. Within months, they started dating and a year later they were engaged. The two walked down the aisle on October 7, 2019, and a few months after, welcomed their firstborn, Safire on February 2, 2020. They are expecting their second baby in July. 

 

Safaree and Erica are yet to comment on the split.
