Why are Safaree and Erica Mena splitting? Rapper says he's a 'bachelor' as they shade each other online
Are rapper Safaree Samuels and his wife Erica Mena headed for divorce? According to the caption of Safaree's latest Instagram post, it does seem like the rapper has split from wife Erica. Married to Erica for only over a year, Safaree, who previously dated Nicki Minaj, took to Instagram on November 4, and announced the couple’s break-up writing, "Bachelor! Ending 2020 right!".
In the aforementioned Instagram post, which can be seen here, the rapper is standing in front of a black and orange Rolls Royce. Safaree tagged the official account of the TV show 'Divorce Court' in the pic further indicating that the couple is headed for a divorce.
The pair have even unfollowed each other on social media while sending out multiple cryptic messages on both Instagram and Twitter. Safaree, for instance, tweeted "biggest regret" and "pathetic", along with a third message saying, "I think the block feature on the iPhone is its best feature. it brings such peace & serenity. Great way to keep jack a**es away. Thank you, Steve Jobs."

Meanwhile, Erica said on Twitter, "No cocky sh*t, ain’t too many like me. No man could ever stop me!" and later, on her IG Story, wrote, "now it’s different...nothing gets in my way for too long."
The rumors about the couple's split first began after Erica, in an Instagram post since deleted, wrote: "My kids. This is what my life is about! Priorities be really f**ked up for some people. Blessed I’m not one of those idiots." Also, recently, Erica replied to a fan's tweet that read: "Cut ties with ANYONE that destroys your inner peace and that doesn’t appreciate you or your presence." She answered saying, "This is my toxic trait! & I f***ing LOVE It!!!" The tweet has since been deleted.

Safaree and Erica met on the reality TV series 'Scared Famous' in 2017. They began dating at the end of 2018. Safaree proposed to Erica on Christmas Eve, just a month later. The two tied the knot in a secret ceremony in New Jersey on October 7, 2019. On February 2, 2020, theywelcomed their daughter. Apart from the social media shade, the couple hasn't yet officially confirmed the spilt nor have they provided any reason for the speculated impending divorce.
