'Who Wants To Be A Millionaire' returned to TV screens tonight. It was the first time in 10 years that the show was on TV in primetime.

Joining host Jimmy Kimmel on the episode was Eric Stonestreet, star of the recently concluded 'Modern Family'. All the celebrities featuring this season will be playing for charity and Eric had chosen his sister Mauria Stonestreet's charity 'Building Hopes For Autism'. At the end of the episode, he walked away with $1,25,000 after successfully answering 11 questions on the show.

Eric did very well in the first 10 questions but it was from the eleventh question that the pressure started to build. So he chose to leave the show.  He had a lot of help from friend Danny Zuker, who is also the writer and executive producer of 'Modern Family'. Eric consulted with Danny on almost every question till the tenth one since after 10 he was on his own. There were no audiences in the studio but fans of the show had definitely tuned in from the safe confines of their homes.

One fan tweeted, "Watching Eric Stonestreet on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire and he’s doing so well. so close to a million dollars - if he doesn’t get to the end I will be disappointed". Everyone wanted to see him win because April is also Autism month and people were cheering for him as he'd decided to donate for such a noble cause.

"Kansas City native @ericstonestreet was awesome tonight on Who Wants to Be a Millionaire. Raising $125,000 for Building Hope for Autism. Great job Eric, you made this KC girl proud!" wrote a fan from Kansas that also happens to be Eric's hometown and the place where the charity is based out of.

"All this time, I've loved @ericstonestreet for his role on Modern Family and within 30 seconds of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, that admiration just grew exponentially after finding out his charity is for autism. Thank you Eric!!! My son is on the spectrum." wrote another fan.

Another fan tweeted, "Eric Stonestreat just won 125,000 for a KC Autism organization on Who Wants to be a Millionaire with Jimmy Kimmel! Way to go Eric..really a fun show during the Covid!!!"

"@ericstonestreet Way to go Eric! Who wants to be a Millionaire - we were playing along with you. You did terrific! #buildinghopeforautism" read another tweet.

After Eric walked away with 1,25,000 dollars, it was time for the next celebrity Will Forte to join Kimmel on the show. He played a couple of questions and won $1000. He will continue playing the game next week as well. Will has decided to donate to The Pangea Network that is dedicated to empowering youth in Kenya.

Other celebrities that will be appearing on this season are Kaitlin Olson, Lauren Lapkus, Nikki Glaser, Ike Barinholtz, Dr. Phil, Anthony Anderson, and Catherine O'Hara.

'Who Wants To Be A Millionaire' airs Wednesday nights on ABC.
