SAN FRANSISCO, CALIFORNIA: Twitter owner Elon Musk claimed that Apple has pulled advertising from his site and has threatened to remove the Twitter app from the App Store without providing any explanation. However, it backfired with people trolling him for complaining about Apple while using an iPhone. One also questioned, "Doesn’t apple drive all his cars?"

On Monday, November 28, Musk called out Apple’s App Store fees a “secret 30% tax,” and then ran a poll asking if “Apple should publish all censorship actions it has taken that affect its customers.” He also claimed that Apple has pulled most of its advertising from Twitter and tweeted, “Apple has also threatened to withhold Twitter from its App Store, but won’t tell us why.” While one of many tweeted, "Apple should support free speech," there were others who pointed out, "If you turn on the front facing camera of your iPhone, I think you'll find the answers you're looking for."

On the other hand, one compared him with Donald Trump and wrote, "Sounds like a trump response," while one said, "Ummmm, literally millions of us can tell you why. Happy to expound on this if you’d care to listen." Another said, "You fired the people that could tell you why." And one individual took a dig at him by saying, "Invest in a mirror."

'Prepare for war'

Phil Schiller, Apple’s former chief marketer who oversees App Review, apparently deleted his Twitter account earlier this month after Musk took over. Phillip Shoemaker, the former head of Apple’s app review and current CEO of Identity.com, said Schiller’s move to delete his account reminded him of a company making moves to “prepare for war.” He said, "Apple’s recent moves are like when you remove troops from a country before you attack. You’re thinking you’re going to have to pull these apps from the store," reports CNBC.
