'The Bachelor' had a big controversy last week after one of the contestants allegedly "stole" a bottle of champagne from another girl, who had been saving it for her special date with the Bachelor Peter Weber.

Kelsey, who had brought the champagne along from her hometown in Des Moines, was furious when Hannah Ann, who has garnered the reputation of being the villain of the season, accidentally popped it, raining on her parade. However, there seems to be a cameo we all missed from that episode.

Ellen DeGeneres took to Twitter and posted a clip to talk about what really happened during the date or Champagne Gate.

"For all #TheBachelor fans, I thought we should clear up what really happened in Champagne-gate," she said. "One of the women brought a bottle of champagne to share, but then it was stolen. I don't know why it was a big deal, it was sitting there for someone to open. People were very upset."

As the clip walks through the events of the night, from Kelsey hearing the pop somewhere in the house to her realizing it was her bottle, only to find Ellen sitting next to Peter sipping on a glass of fizzy. In the hilarious parody video, Ellen replaced Hannah A with herself in a blue dress looking like she totally belonged with one of the contestants.

"I was there, just sitting there," she says, taking a jab at Hannah's explanation from the show that she did not "steal the champagne".

Unlike the actual episode, cheers erupt from the mansion, leaving Bachelor Nation fans in splits. "I like this video a heck of a lot more than the real #Bachelor episode," a fan wrote on Twitter. Another said, "LOL SO IT WAS YOU we knew it."

Ellen being on 'The Bachelor' would definitely lighten things up a bit considering how dramatic things are currently at the mansion. With all the girls fiercely vying for Peter's attention, tensions are running high.

Catch the next episode of 'The Bachelor' on Mondays at 8/7c on ABC.
