Sheeran is a singer-songwriter from Suffolk, England. He used to busk on the streets of London and do gigs in Suffolk before he became a global superstar. Sheeran's net worth is said to be $200M as of May, according to Celebrity Net Worth, placing him among the top 100 richest singers in the world. He earns between $70M and $100M from his tours alone. The majority of Sheeran's revenue comes from touring. Between March 2017 and August 2019, his 'Divide' tour generated $780M in revenue. That was enough to make it the highest-grossing concert tour of all time, surpassing U2's '360 Degrees' tour, which ran from 2009 to 2011.

With the premiere of his Disney+ docuseries 'The Sum Of It All', Sheeran opened up about his decade-long friendship with Taylor Swift, claiming that their friendship felt like "therapy." “I have long, long, long conversations with Taylor about stuff just because I feel like she’s one of the only people that actually truly understands where I’m at,” he said, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Sheeran began producing music in 2004 and independently published a collection of songs titled Spinning Man. He released his first EP in 2005, followed by two albums over the next three years. While performing at smaller locations in and around London, he began to build a modest fan base.
