Dylan Walsh proud of 'brave' son Thomas after he rescued drowning driver in Baltimore harbor
BALTIMORE, MARYLAND: Following a recent incident in Baltimore where a car plunged into a harbor, Dylan Walsh has publicly shared his admiration for his son Thomas Walsh. The 26-year-old sous chef at Phillips Seafood fearlessly jumped into the water, fully clothed, to rescue the driver who was drowning. Thomas' bravery and quick actions have earned him widespread praise.
Eyewitness and co-worker Jordan Payne reported that Thomas suffered injuries during the heroic act, saying, "His hand is like all the way cut up. His whole knuckles are busted," she explained, according to The Baltimore Banner.

'He was trying to hold him up'
Apparently, Thomas punched the window with his bare fist and saved the driver, who had been experiencing a mental health crisis at the time of the accident. An eyewitness named Mike Malone said, "I saw him when he had the guy, he was trying to hold him up, he was trying to pull him to safety."
The heroic act by the military veteran, who served in Iraq, only shows "that's the person he is!" according to a representative for Dylan Walsh, who spoke to the Daily Mail. The driver and Thomas were both taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
'Could have been a tragic scene'
While talking about the harrowing incident, another eyewitness Payne told The Baltimore Banner that, "He’s not trying to get out, not making an effort or anything." Later, Christina Tkacik, shared a photo of the destroyed vehicle after it was removed from the water. The dramatic video of the safety rescue was also posted on the Baltimore Banner's Instagram account. "A car crashed into the Inner Harbor today. Could have been a tragic scene but for a brave sous chef from @PhillipsSeafood who jumped into the water, breaking the glass to save the driver. I’m hearing both are receiving treatment at the hospital," said Christina Tkacik.
