Oscar-winner Dustin Black suffers head injury after fight in gay bar, hubby Tom Daley helps him 'shut off'
LONDON, ENGLAND: Famous oscar-winning screenwriter Dustin Lance Black took to Instagram on Monday, September 26, to reveal that he suffered a major head injury last month and is still healing from it.
According to DailyMail, in August, Dustin and his husband Tom Daley, a popular olympian were involved in an incident that took place at Freedom, a gay bar in Soho wherein Dustin reportedly threw a drink at Teddy Edwardes, who allegedly responded by hitting him at the back of the head.

The duo had been drinking with Edwardes who is a part of the BBC3 show, 'The Big Proud Party Agency.' Later, Edwardes claimed that Dustin threw a drink in her face after she asked another person in the venue to leave her table. However, she later revealed in a now-deleted Instagram video that she gave Dustin 'a little tap on the back of the head' in response.
In the recent post by Dustin, he detailed, "So I vanished for a while… A month ago I sustained a serious head injury that put me out of commission. Showing little improvement, my doctors ordered me to shut off my brain in hopes of it healing."
Further, he added, "This has been a challenging, frightening time for a creative type who depends on what’s in his skull to work, care and love. And now I understand the road back will be long. But this week my sweet, over the top husband took us to the Greek Islands to make me shut off." He concluded saying, "I can already feel this trip is a step in the right direction, and I finally feel safe sharing a bit again. Thank you for all of your love and patience. More to come. Promise."
However, according to DailyMail, while speaking about the incident, Edwardes further stated, "I went out for a couple of quiet drinks with my friends last night, nothing crazy, and I bumped into Tom Daley and his husband in Soho, who... pretty much unprovoked he threw an entire drink over me in Freedom." Later she added, "I didn’t have a drink to throw back so I did choose violence, it wasn't that violent, he got a little tap on the back of the head."
Edwardes also explained, "Tell me why he is crying outside saying it’s a targeted attack and that he’s traumatized and called the police, and I had to wait there for hours whilst the police were asking questions. And now I have been cautioned and I have to go in for interviews." Dustin and Daley were last seen together at Wimbledon in July and Dustin also accompanied Daley to investiture ceremonies at Windsor Castle. The duo also has a child named Robbie.
