What happened to Brittney?
The TLC program broadcasted a special homage to Season 2 (Episode 9) patient Brittney in the 28 February 2019 episode of the extremely famous, but slightly gross, docu-series 'Dr Pimple Popper. Unfortunately, the 31-year-old Tennessee resident died on May 2, 2019.
Dr Lee posted a preview clip on Instagram just before the show broadcast. "One of my FAVORITE patients is on the new episode of Dr Pimple Popper, on @tlc tomorrow, Thursday 9/8c," she wrote. "Who’s watching?! ✌🏼❤️💥#drpimplepopper."
Fans who had followed Brittney's journey on the show flooded the comments section with questions about what caused the young mother's tragic death. Only one user claimed to have an answer to the query that had piqued everyone's interest. "Aweee she past away sadly 2 weeks before her 32nd birthday," a user called dee_mursadies remarked. "She had Tachycardia an enlarged heart . That was the cause of death. So sad . Sending my deepest condolences. I lost my 14 yr old daughter Carly Jade from q flu shot May 16th 2019."
It is to be noted, to date, there has been no formal statement as to what caused Brittney's death.

Dr Lee pays tribute to the young mom
Brittney was also honored by Dr Sandra Lee, nicknamed Dr Pimple Popper, on the episode of her program. Brittney featured in 'Dr Pimple Popper's Season Two episode, complaining about the strange bumps that had developed all over her body after giving birth to her daughter.
Brittney explained to Dr Lee that she had been suffering from the bumps for about 11 years and that her mother had also suffered from the same condition. Brittney also stated that she had eventually chosen to seek professional assistance to remove the bumps because her wedding day was approaching and she wanted to see if the bumps could be removed before walking down the aisle.
Dr Lee observed that the lumps were "a little rubbery. They’re flexible and spongy. You can feel when you push them into the skin and they bounce back out." Dr Lee was able to help Brittney remove the bumps by the conclusion of the episode, and she stated that she felt more secure and prepared for her wedding.
Season 9 of 'Dr Pimple Popper' will premiere on April 5 at 9 PM ET on TLC.
