Dr Sandra Lee is known for her caring and friendly nature that she brings with her on all her appointments. She was the same with her patient Brittney Sharp who appeared on the show to treat the mysterious bumps on her body. Brittney revealed that she started getting bumps on her body after she became pregnant. However, she was unsure of what they were.

Opening up about it to Dr Sandra Lee, Brittney revealed that her mother had similar bumps on her body. She added that her mother passed away from cancer that first affected her lung and slowly started taking over her body. While Brittney found the strength of moving past this loss, she admitted that having bumps on her body did not make things easier for her.

Affecting her confidence, Brittney knew they were something that had to be gone. However, before that, she wanted to find out what they were and if they were dangerous. Dr Lee assured her that they were nothing serious and can be taken care of. "Pregnancy can do that to us; our skin can go, whacko," she said, according to a Yahoo report. Brittney felt at ease hearing this and revealed that for a long time she had been trying to find a solution to this problem.

Having these bumps for nearly 11 years, Brittney failed to find a doctor that could help her. "I've tried plenty of home remedies — tea bags, tying rubber bands around the big ones to try and cut the circulation off — but nothing works,” she said recalling the methods she has tried to get rid of the bumps.

Brittney revealed she wanted to get rid of the bumps because she was soon going to get married. "When I feel these bumps, they’re a little rubbery,” Dr Lee said after she explained them. “They’re flexible and spongy. You can feel when you push them into the skin and they bounce back out."

After having a closer look at them, Dr Lee was sure she could have them removed. As promised, Dr Lee managed to remove all the bumps from her body. While Britteny left with a big smile on her face, viewers of the show were shocked to find out that she had passed away when one of the episodes paid tribute to her. The case of her death is unknown.

'Dr Pimple Popper: Before the Pop' airs on September 3 at 10 pm ET on TLC.
