RHOC's Jen Armstrong sues ex-staff who accused her of working under drug influence
While Noella Bergener is publicly feuding with her estranged husband Sweet James on social media, her fellow 'Real Housewives of Orange County' star Dr Jen Armstrong is fighting her own private battles off-cameras as well. The new housewife who is the CEO of her own private cosmetology practice called Advanced Skincare Dermatology and Plastic Surgery has found herself in trouble with various regulatory agencies and licensing boards, including the California Medical Board after a former employee made some concerning allegations against Dr Jen.
Dr Jen's former employee named Sylvia Nutall is being sued by the reality star for spreading lies about her including that she was using unlawful filler and working under influence of drugs on her patients. Nutall's allegations led to California Medical Board launching an investigation against Dr Jen's clinic and she isn't happy about it, so she sued her former employee for defamation, intentional infliction of emotional distress, invasion of privacy, breach of contract, and various other charges.

According to court documents obtained by Radar, the Bravo star is suing an ex-employee named Sylvia Nuttall for defamation, intentional infliction of emotional distress, invasion of privacy, breach of contract, and various other claims. The documents which were filed on December 28, 2021, lists Dr Jen and her company Advanced Skincare Medcenter as the plaintiffs. Nuttall is being slapped with the lawsuit on account of “intentionally false, misleading, and/or defamatory accusations” which have resulted in personal and business reputation to Dr Jen."
Nuttall reportedly worked at Dr Jen's clinic from August 2018 until October 2021 and held the position of office manager. Dr Jen stated that she fired Nuttall when she found out that she was stealing medical supplies and equipment. She also accused her former employee of violating the confidentiality clause in her contract. In the lawsuit, Dr Jen accused Nuttall of going on a "calculated campaign” to damage her personal reputation before being fired from her job. She also accused her former employee of various other questionable behaviors including impersonating the 'RHOC' star to order "unauthorized medical equipment, products and medication.”
Nuttall is also being accused of deleting client files, having the office phone set up to forward to an unknown cell number to prevent Dr Jen’s clients from calling her, contacting the 'RHOC' star’s patients and telling them that Dr Jen was under criminal investigation. The ex-office manager also allegedly “made false reports" about Dr Jen to regulatory agencies and licensing boards, including the California Medical Board, alleging that Armstrong engages in unprofessional conduct, including "using unlawful filler and working under the influence of drugs, resulting in the California Medical Board investigating these false allegations.”
Dr Jen also added that Nuttall called up a Bravo television network producer advising the individual to “stay away from Dr Jen for their “own protection.” In the suit, she accuses Nuttall of creating a fake social media profile to impersonate her and used the platform to defame her. The lawsuit is seeking unspecified damages. Prior to this Dr Jen was sued by one of her patients for "medical negligence, battery and failure to obtain informed consent” for a treatment that the patient received in October 2019. Dr. Jen is yet to respond to the case in court. It looks like there's enough drama keeping the 'RHOC' star busy off-cameras as well.
