Did Dog the Bounty Hunter use the N-word? TV star claims it does not make him racist
TV personality Dog the Bounty Hunter has landed himself in controversy once again as he claimed using the N-word does not make him racist. During an interview with Kevin Frazier from ET, he shockingly remarked that his Black friends or "the brothers" gave him permission to use the derogatory racist slur. Duane Lee Chapman made the comments while refuting his daughter Bonnie Chapman's allegations that her father is a "racist, homophobic cheater".
Bonnie Chapman revealed last week that her passion for racial equality and support for Black Lives Matter caused a rift in her relationship with her father. According to her, his alleged usage of racial and homophobic abusive epithets led to the cancellation of his upcoming reality series 'Unleashed'. In fact, in the past, Dog had called BLM protesters "thugs" and other derogatory terms. However, the reality TV star shot back at his daughter, calling her brainwashed. Bonnie Chapman is the daughter of Duane Chapman and his late wife Beth Chapman.

In his latest interview with Frazier, Dog defended himself by saying that he has more Black friends than Eminem and thus he has got a pass for using the N-word. He also mentioned how a leaked phone call with his son branded him as a 'racist' in the public eye after he was heard using the slur at least 6 times during a rant. Dog even dubbed that phone call his "Achilles' heel" when it came to the question of his racist outlook. He continued to insist that he is not racist and usage of the N-word cannot make him so.
"I thought I had a pass in the Black tribe to use it, kind of like Eminem," Dog explained to Frazier. He added that his "brothers" aka his Black prison-mates in the past used the word frequently and he has seen it as a "compliment" ever since, rather than an abusive slur. However, he goes on to remark that his pass to use the N-word has expired with the changing times and no one informed him about the same.
Bonnie Chapman previously claimed that she was not invited to Dog's wedding with his present fiancée Francie Fran because of her solidarity with the BLM movement. However, Dog now insists that he is also a supporter of the Black Lives Matter movement and therefore not racist.
