LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Nicole Kidman created a buzz on the internet by wearing a Miu Miu micro skirt on the cover of Vanity Fair's February 2022 issue, which resembled a racy school uniform. Despite the criticism, the 54-year-old actress remains undeterred and was determined not to let critics hinder her from taking creative risks in her career.

In an interview with Stellar magazine, Kidman emphasized that she was committed to expressing herself freely and unapologetically. As a star known for her iconic roles, she continues to push boundaries and explore new horizons in her artistic journeyz. 

'I don't ever think of consequences'

"I make the most random, crazy choices. I call them 'teenage choices' because I just don't ever think of consequences," Kidman reportedly said, adding, "Part of my brain just doesn't think like that. I just go, 'Oh, I'm going to wear that; it reminds me of my school uniform.' Or 'Oh my God, yeah, I'd love to do that.'"

Kidman further mentioned that she chose not to pay attention to the "hurtful" comments that people might make about her. She believed that dwelling on negative opinions would only hinder her from pursuing future creative projects with the same fearlessness and passion.

The Oscar winner openly acknowledged that it was entirely her choice to wear the revealing micro-skirt. "That was my choice. And yeah, I own it. I'm accountable. Whatever. I take responsibility. Nobody else chose it," she said.

Famous personalities including Emma Corrin and Saweetie have been spotted wearing the skirt, while it has also been modeled by Zendaya and Hailey Bieber.
