Meghan Markle stuns in $4,700 Armani dress for Oprah interview, cradles bump when asked if she was 'silenced'
In a teaser trailer for her bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey, Meghan Markle had a pregnant glow as she cradled her growing baby bump and talked about her brief time as a royal, and her and her husband's shocking decision to quit palace life at the beginning of last year.
For the bombshell appearance, the 39-year-old dressed to impress, showing off her blossoming baby bump in a $4,700 black Armani dress, which was belted above her stomach and featured floral embroidery over one shoulder. She paired the look with some simple suede heels from designer Aquazurra ($695) and donned a necklace from sustainable designer Pippa Small, a Cartier Love bracelet ($6,550) which is believed to have once belonged to Princess Diana, and blue topaz Birks earrings. She wore her hair up in a messy bun and opted for a bolder, heavier lined eye, coral cheeks, and a pink glossy lip.

According to Page Six, the exact gown has been sold out, as well as the necklace and earrings. It seemed that the 'People's Princess' was on the mind of Meghan's husband as he talked about how his later mother struggled to get used to the royal lifestyle, which was always under the scrutiny of the British media. The Duke of Sussex says in the clip, “My biggest concern was history repeating itself. You know, for me, I’m just really relieved and happy to be sitting here talking to you with my wife by my side because I can’t begin to imagine what it must have been like for her going through this process by herself all those years ago. Because it has been unbelievably tough for the two of us but at least we had each other.”
All the while the former 'Suits' actress was seen placing a hand on her bump as she tightly gripped her husband's hand with the other, which led her fans to rush to defend her from the British press on Twitter. "Stop the presses!!! Meghan Markle is touching her baby bump. Can’t have the biracial Duchess doing that now can we... Oh wait! She is in the US now and we don’t hate on pregnant women who touch their baby bumps regardless of what race they are. Never mind. Carry on Meghan," one of the users wrote.
Another commented, "Meghan said Oh you don't like me... Holding my husband's hand Wearing a messy bun Holding my baby bump Wearing expensive assshit, see 4,700 Armani gown Meghan Markle and Oprah's interview is gonna be a cultural reset. #MeghanMarkle #MeghanAndHarry"
A third said, "Messy" bun. Under-eye liner. Monogrammed necklace. All black. Hand on bump. Methinks Meghan Markle is already sending a message."

In the teaser, Meghan is barely seen speaking, even when Oprah reminds viewers that "there is no subject that is off-limits" and asks the Duchess, "Were you silent or were you silenced?" in what appears to be another jab at the royal family.
Later in the interview, Oprah also refers to comments Meghan appears to have made about life in the royal family being "almost un-survivable." All the while the camera kept zooming into Meghan's face giving off mysterious expressions which could suggest that some pretty explosive replies were to follow which CBS did not want to reveal in the teaser.
