LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Britney Spears and Sam Asghari have officially called quits and their marriage is over.
Asghari filed the paperwork to divorce the pop star on August 16, but listed the date of separation as July 28, citing "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the split, per TMZ.
But the question on everyone's mind is whether Asghari will get any of the Spears' enormous wealth?
The 41-year-old pop sensation had exchanged vows with Sam Asghari at her residence in Los Angeles in June 2022. However, precisely 14 months later, the couple are no longer together.

Britney Spears' substantial fortune is shielded by an ironclad prenuptial arrangement that she and her soon-to-be ex husband, Sam Asghari had entered into prior to their marriage.
TMZ reports that this unexpected separation follows a major dispute, stemming from Sam's confrontation with the popstar regarding allegations of infidelity.

An insider has also revealed that Sam has vacated their shared residence and is now residing in a separate location.
How much will Sam Ashgari get as per the prenup agreement?
The court document filed by Asghari to legally separate from Spears states, "[Sam Asghari] has yet to determine the full nature and extent of the separate property assets and obligations of each party."
"There are various items of community and quasi-community assets and debts, the full nature and extent of which are unknown to [Sam Asghari] at this time," the documents added.
As of now Sam Asghari is asking for spousal support and attorneys fees. But his lawyer, Neal Hersh, has indicated that Asghari might also contest the prenup, as per TMZ.

As per the meticulously constructed and robust prenuptial agreement, Sam is not entitled to any portion of the substantial sums Britney amassed before their marriage in the event of a separation, according to TMZ.
The only way Asghari would have any share of Spears' fortune would be to renegotiate the prenup.
However, if the prenup stands and is not renegotiated, no judge would disregard the agreement and Sam would not have any rights over Britney's income prior to their union.
